Running a 2015 summit 154 with about 700 km. Riding currently at 6-8000 ft. On hard pack trail the machine bounces off the rev limiter on click 3 and won't pull past 6500 rpm in powder. Tried pulling clicker back to 2 and still bangs off the rev limiter and bogs even worse in the powder. Ran it up at 5 and still hits the limiter and runs about 7700 rpm in powder. Anybody have any recommendations? Sled is completely stock.

Cleaned clutches? Weak clutch spring? Belt deflection? Try a new belt?

My 2015 summit 174 ( 1200 km)was doing similar things. Had to be on clicker 5 or 6 to get 7900 rpm at 55-7000' and still had kinda erratic rpms. Belt deflection and looked ok. Clutches were clean.
I tried it at home on clicker 1( 2200') and also got from 76-8000 erratic rpm.
I put in DJ clutch kit ( new primary and secondary spring and helix)with new belt on and i get 7900 consistant now. Haven't tried in mountains yet.
I dont know if the springs were weak or the belt made a difference.
