You are mistaken there are three ways to Learn.
#1 Those who learn by others mistakes
#2 Those who learn by their own mistakes
#3 Those who do not learn.

So from the other thread it sounds like you've isolated the problem to the driveshaft? I had to replace the driveshaft on my XM from the previous owner impacting something and then just selling the sled instead of fixing the problem, I didn't realize until after I bought it. Anyways once I removed the shaft turned out one of the plastic drivers was distorted and eggshaped, the shaft itself just had a small indentation under where the driver sat but was still basically straight. So you may want to get a complete shaft with drivers and avoid screwing around pressing the drivers and such.

No I havent craked it open yet but I was on kijiji looking for a set of drivers and thinking i might be able to save the drivers and just get a new shaft hence my question. Im basing that only on the am of guys saying it was the drive shaft but yes Ill check all the other things mentioned first. Thanks

I seen you commented in the other thread about the guy looking for 7 tooth drivers. If he gets that other guys shaft/drivers you should see if you can get his old shaft with the 8 tooths on it. Win win for everyone

Well it was a tree. Second time was a different tree...eight feet further up the trail. Niether one was too bad but a bit of a reminder that I neeed to slow up in that spot...

ha, well if ya must hit the creek again, ha. gets expensive rather quickly.

Had to change a drive shaft last season, found it was cheaper and easier to just buy shaft with drivers from doo then to go aftermarket and have pressed on, unless you can find a good used one as mentioned. Also you'll need a somewhat custom puller for the brake side if your doing it yourself as well.
