I've heard tell of people using them but have yet to see or hear on in person. I had a Hindle pipe on my FZ1 and it sounded good.

A buddy is runnin' one on his and sounds awesome, great pipe for the 1100.

Got one ordered from wkm. They come in 14" and 8". Need to cut tour stock muffler out and weld in new one. Call Gene at 780 872 7004. Great to deal with.

Thanks for the reply. I will be ordering one next I think. What's the difference between the 8 and 14. I'm assuming one will be louder than the other.

The 14" might be half a pound heavier, deeper tone, a little quieter. 8" has a little more bark, not even close to a 2 stroke with a can. They are a low rpm motor so real rumbly. I've done over 20 between the 2 models along with the lightweight battery on every 1100 out our door. Battery and pipe is about a 28lbs loss.

I think 28 lbs. lose is a little much. factory can weights 16. that means you would have to run no muffler and drop 12 lbs. with a battery. It won't start with a couple of AA's

You weighted the can off your 1100 and it was 16lbs? When we weighted the muffler off the one we had here all summer it was 23lbs. I'll weight one tommorow again to verify. Wouldn't want to mislead anyone by my "about" weight by more than half a pound. The battery saves a little over 10, and starts it just fine. You can round that down to 10 if you want.

Here's a couple pics of markoo and my exhaust. The cans markoo weighed are what he cut off. It does not include the elbow, or flange. But then you have to add the weight of the new muffler.

NO I weighed the can complete as it came off the sled. 16 lbs. Then I cut the elbow and flange off and welded a muffler on it. New can is 3 lbs. That is 13 lbs loss. You could save another 1 lbs. by going with a straight pipe but it's annoying.

You got that right about the staight pipe. Heard one a couple days ago and sounds terrible.
