I really care about the environment and my fellow mankind. But I don't give a chit about Thurberg and all the climate bull****. Everything will be just fine if we get rid of peeps like you!

Imagine a world where Greta s voice is playing through loud speakers telling you to recycle all day. At least until we get the bio chips figured out.

Someone is making bank on lumber right now that's for sure. No way the truckers are getting the extra money, I doubt the stores are upping their margins much on it if at all. The mills gotta be laughing all the way to the bank right now. What was it maybe a little over a year ago OSB was $7-8 bucks, $30ish now? And maybe a tiny increase in the mills costs? Just stupid.

You would be surprised... this year i built a simple 10x14 shed their was $300 difference between the 2 building supply places for the exact same lumber.. Actually the lower price the lumber was way nicer and cleaner compared to the other quote... Unfortunately the 2 place did not honor their quote as i picked up the limber as i needed it over a 2 week time span... so the price went up $100....

I used to build decks for modular homes same size same lumber usage. Deck price went up $800 in one year

Never let a pandemic go to waste , jam it to the customer. For example here in Revelstoke we get to pay 25% more for lumber than Vernon. We only have Home Hardware to deal with as Rona is virtually closed with no lumber or plywood in stock. WTF There’s an opportunity for someone looking to open up/expand.

If you don't mind please PM me where you buy from.

We use wood by the semi load on this farm, it's getting pricey.

What does a cord of firewood cost?

As kids and even now we've always cut our own, never thought of buying it.
Well, usually buy it for 175 ish somewhat split, fir, white pine

Now guys want 250 a cord for same

I don't think firewood prices are that bad and I'm a cheapskate. Even at 300 for a cord of larch....would you do it for that? It's a lot of work and wear and tear on equipment. To buy a logging truck load around here is 3800 for fir or larch. Then you still have to cut, split, and stack it.

I love getting firewood, but even at 300 a cord I don't think it's a very high paying affair for the amount of work

I can get a cord of wood cut for about 150 here in edson and I pick it up myself, they charge by weight so you scale in and out and it’s guaranteed to be dry.
I dont mind splitting softwood with an axe.

So the price increase that tex posted is odd considering costs are down this year.

Id prefer to just get a permit and head north and get a truckload of birch over softwood for heating fuel.
