Wow... That was a lot of backreading... Not on here for a couple days and bang, this!!! Kool to see lester777 on here, and he seems to be a flatlander, but a stand-up guy! I did find that article a little biased and strange in the comparison, but it's their article! I do hope you come out to next years "mountain mania", covid permitting, and it will be awesome as usual. Lhf is definately laughing at this thread, i'm sure ;) ... Ozone, you actually are making sense, however hard it is to read. Are you still doing the oakley thing? .... Maxwell and caper are both really good riders, and maxwell should hardbind that novel he wrote a few threads up, lol. Riding stock machines where we used to take mods(with thousands in modifications), really is a feat in itself, and we'd have to wrench on them almost every time we stopped up in the hills, to rejet or whatever. Chrisco wanting to run a warmed over poo against stock turbos -- hmmm, frowned upon in my mind, but have at 'er ;)... Keep up the good work y'all, and see ya in the hills next year(still waiting for my other knee replacement, in March).

not so much of a bling issue as it is a thing of pride having much nicer fit and finish than any manufacturer has out of the box and keeping up with the caliber of your typical builds. Add to that the fact that you built a lighter and much more powerful machine and I completely expect to see you (even with the rider size difference talked about earlier in the thread) walking all over maxwell and his turbo doo. With that being said I also fully expect the argument to turn to the age old “doo you have warranty” argument which will be the only leg to lean on. How many of us have voided warranty on their new $100000 pick up just to have the emissions chit deleted?!? Better yet, how many guys put cans on their sleds and possibly forgot to put the stocker back on when the machine went to the dealer?? For some of us warranty is not as big of a deal as it will be made out to be once the stock turbski has been caught on video taking the L.

just my opinion of course.... your turn to chime in maxwell lol

All I see in this jabber is WIN !!!!! To be fair i think im at 24 ish mostly cuz of my bling issues.

No warranty is never a problem until you blow an engine and then have to pay out of pocket. I see it all the time. And then its the customer begging you to lie for them to try and get it for free. I will go out on a limb and say if Company A offers you 4 yrs warranty and Company B offers you 1 yr warranty for basically identical platforms but different colors you will see Company A outsell Company B 10-1. Change my mind. Lol

you got me wrong... I've sold all my sleds and stuff, because of knee replacements... Not really brand specific, just legitimately weighed the issue. Take a stock 850 doo and aftermarket turbo it, then do a true aftermarket turbo comparison to be fair. Isn't that the only real true comparo? A stock turbo 2 stroke off the floor with full warranty? Poo, cat both have catching up to do...ACTUALLY I'm leaning towards the 'winder!

Honestly in my opinion the first comparison was poor in that Paul had a stock turbo 175 Doo in deep snow against a turbo Poo with a 165 track and a massaged 165 Alpha. In that snow I would expect the Doo to win. In this case I would expect the turbo 175 Poo to win as it runs more boost and is lighter. I guess if Chris had a boost gauge and dialed his back to match the Doo's boost then that would be a fairer comparison with equal weight riders. It is fun watching all the back and forth jousting though! HaHa!:fencing::rolling:

I can see your perspective, but I am not overly hooked on warranty anyways. Of course free repairs are nice, but so is having something much different from the rest. Warranty didn’t stop me from building full mods including tunnel and turbo/engine mods on brand new out of the box 13 pros. It would have been nice if I needed it, but I pull my own wrenches and took the risks knowing what I may be up against.

some people gamble and win, some people don’t gamble but yet always wish they could win lol the others.... well they won’t chime in at this point cause they are trying to forget about those few losses ha ha

Hey I hear ya. Probably the majority of my sleds I've rode would not make the warranty cut. Having a unique sled is worth something for sure.

the best part of this 174 D** swinging contest is when you guys realize the 165 is way more fun and go back. LOLOL

I believe this was my intention anyway and was noted , what you seem to not understand and after all these years (and i'm not sure why you don't understand) is that I will go to extreme measures and blow large sums of money Just to long c@ck you Sean lol. Its just something I feel needs to be done.
