I think Rick posted that on here

Yeah you are right I do a lot of reading on other site's. The 2017 3.5 ecoboost is new with a 30 lb increase in torque and a 10 speed auto they are promoting better acceleration, pulling rating, economy and longevity

6 was enough, fawk 3 and 4 speeds for 20 years was fine

The 6 speed over 4 was better, but 8 and 10 and now it's Allways shifting, drives me nuts

10 speeds? How big is that tranny? Or do they got tiny clutch packs in it.
I am with Tex the shifting would drive me nuts. I drove my parents car with 8 speeds at first I didn't notice it shift but once I did it drove me crazy.

Ford Squeezes 375 Horses, 470 lb.-ft. From the 3.5-Liter EcoBoost V6

"Of course, the other big news with this powertrain upgrade is the addition of a 10-speed automatic transmission to mate with this boosted V6. Co-developed by Ford and General Motors, this new gearbox should improve acceleration and fuel economy, although we don't have any official EPA numbers at this point."

Geez are trying to get 450 hp out a 3.5 litre in the raptor. Must be attainable I guess because the ford gt is 600 hp out of the same displacement.

Should read the article first..... This was from the fire department. Aluminum or steel.... They can peel a vehicle open like a can of sardines.

That's right... They are basically trailer to cut the thing wide open as fast as they can and as open as they can. What better way to do it than removing the entire side lol

All the new safety features that protect us as motorists make our jobs as first responders more difficult when it comes to emergency extrications. We used to be able to quickly remove doors and roofs in order to get to trapped victims. The side impact beams running across the doors are made of some pretty exotic alloys that are very difficult to cut and impossible to compress or bend with extrication tools depending on the mechanism of the crash. It's getting to be quicker, easier and safer to detach the entire side or top of a vehicle. Explosive air bag actuators, seat belt pre-tensioners, reinforced roof structures using high strength alloys and high voltage/current hybrid electric power packs make extrication an ongoing challenge as technology evolves. The up side is we are surviving accidents that would be unsurviveable even 10 years ago. The downside ( if there is one?) is higher costs to buy and fix and more difficulty for us responders to extricate quickly.

Haven't seen this one yet! You would think it was the same reason though?
