Hey guys, I know this is the wrong sec. but need quick exposure.

Here's the problem, I'm redoing the top and bottom of a friends kids KX 85 (2002). Got it tore down, on the bench, but can not get the case seperated. Everything is out.....water pump, exhaust valve, k-start, snap rings etc.

I'm known to be a competent wrench, but I can not get this case split......what am I missing ???????? Is there some special tool, that is unique to the kx cases.

I've just completed top/bottom rebuild on a 02 RM 125.....ZERO issues

I'm Stumped.....help.............

this might work......

heat it up with a propane torch.....gotta be really really hot......then pour water on it and cool it down as fast as you can......this works well with stuck/rusted bolts so maybe it'll work.....

give it a shot!:d
