Hey Andre, don't use that crap in a can. Go to home depot and buy the popcorn ceiling repair stuff in a small plastic container. Can't remember who makes it but I used it in my kitchen when I got rid of the electrical octogon box and put in pot lights.Way less mess and you can apply as much or as little as requied. Apply/dab with an old paint brush and you should be golden. You can't even tell where the old electrical box was on my ceiling.
