During our ASt1 course my mamut pulse really kicked ass, also if everybody in your group has one it will tell you who burried has a pulse and who does not, its sad and "life boat tactics" but at the end of the day is a good feature..Shoping by price for a random beacon is not the best idea, contact an instructor on what works best. A few people in our course last witner had cheapies and they proved to be junk in our mock rescues....
