Help.... Looking for quad(s)

Looking to trade my sled(s) for a quad I'm thinking Yamaha or maybe Kawasaki or Suzuki
is there one I should stay away from or are they all pretty much the same 450 to a 700cc

Different strokes for different folks. I wouldn't drive a SxS if YOU bought it for me.

Why would you say that , just curious ? I have both ( quad & SXS) and though they are different , both are fun ... Performance wise ..
The SXS s are tough to beat .
Rider skill is fun on the quad though ...
Sxs's are certainly taking over the market it seems ...

I agree. They are. I'm afraid that ATV'S are soon going to be gone. But, a UTV is not for me. Like I said. Different strokes for different folks. Maybe one day, but not for the foreseeable future.

We have both, I still prefer the quad, but in the sxs I am a passenger, quad I'm the driver. I don't foresee quads disappearing anytime soon.

OP asked about quads didn't they.
Who gives a **** about a SXS ??
Can't go wrong with any of them this day and age.
If buying used make sure to check them out very good as some could have been sunk and filled with silt and water at one time.

I don't think these days any of them are to be avoided except the Chinese brands these can be poorly made and parts can be hard to find. If you're buying used I think the condition would be the deciding factor look for one that looks lightly used driven around the lake lot avoid anything lifted and snorkeled. You didn't say if you want a sport quad or a 4x4. I am a Yamaha guy and have never had a bad one I have a 2014 Grizzly 700 SE bought new that I ride now and had a Raptor 700 sport quad before that and I would recommend either if you are smaller I got my wife a 2014 Kodiac 450 and this machine has been great as well. From what I have seen the Japanese brands tend to be more reliable and the North America brands make more horsepower. I had two Polaris Sramblers for my wife a 400 two stroke and a 500 four stroke both worked great when they worked but both always seemed to need constant repairs not sure about their other models but I was always pulling wrenches on these got tired of always fixing them so bought her a Yamaha and don't miss the Scramblers.

I've barely ever seen anyone on a Suzuki or Kawasaki lol....and the few I did they were total douches, probably just a coincidence,seen the Suzuki roll 12 times.....most people ride can am, Yamaha ,or Honda.

We've owned quite a few Polaris Sportsman 850s. I think they've improved over time, except the fuel pumps. Replace with aftermarket. I've got one 2015 with 11,500 miles on it and still doesn't use oil. I'm just going to ride the shi* out of it and see when it dies, out of curiosity. I really like the 2017s, especially the 1000.

Grizzly 550 have been going super cheap on Kijiji! Your wife will love it, double the goodness of a 450 for same price.

If she is small the 450 might be better as everything on it is smaller but the 550 is exactly the same size as the 700 if she is comfortable on the 700 she would good on the 550 same quad as the 700 just less displacement.

Thanks I found that out as well so it will now be either a 450 or 700, if it's the same size might as well have the power.

If you get a 450 look for the EPS and independent rear suspension model much better ground clearance than the solid axel. These a great quad for the wife the only thing I don't like about it is no fuel injection but the carb seems to work fine.
