Helmuts and coats

New to the sport, been a avid skier for that 40 years so I have my share of equipment hanging around.
Question 1
Will my ski coat work or is the collar to large for my helmut.

Question 2
Will my motorcyle helmet work? Or does one need a special snowmobile helmut?

Lots of people use ski jackets it's all about what feels right for you. As for helmets I use a motor bike helmet and it works awsome. Here's the one I use.

When i first started out I wore my snowboarding gear, boots and all. I have since changed to snowmobile specific gear. The only reason being, I decided if I trashed all my board gear sledding I would probably replace it with sled gear and never have gear to ride my snowboard (not that I'm parking my sled to ride a board anytime soon!!). I too wear a motorcross helmet, Thor to be exact, I just velcroed in a HJC nose cup and bought a good set of goggles.
