Our club has this issue every year, hut society won't help with trail maintenance, fee collection etc. But to access their cabins they need to use our volunteer maintained trail.

Can you at least make them buy a trail pass Darcy or are they exempt like the trappers?

**** right off- just because you have the tenure for the snowmobiling to that tenure doesn’t mean the hut society is obligated to %@#^%#@^%$ to get to it. The huts have been there long before u Remotely even cared about taking care of the access. The huts are there thx to rk heliski who has had tenure just as long if not before Windermere valley. U probably were still back in Ontario...lol

dont talk **** about **** u don’t know about...newb. Your a transplant that thinks he owns the valley. My friends and family built the valley. Sit the f down and shut up.

Stayed at the hillcrest in Revy a couple weeks ago, was empty too normally would be packed with heli skiers. I was happy to pay about 60% normal January rates...

We have tried, have asked that they charge for trail pas when they take a booking for the cabins but they dig their heels in every year. The cabins are booked 7 days a week , typically with 4-8 people. I'm putting up trail counters this week to see how many access the trail after our collection guy leaves.

Olive hut was built by hut society and forestry as a memorial in 1991. Strike one
Dave White was built in 2001 as a memorial buy hut society. Strike two
I'm not from Ontario. strike 3 bro you're out!
The only cabin Roger Madson built up there was the north star cabin.

If you knew as much as you think you do you would know that because of our management agreement we have the right to charge ALL users to use the trail.
Unless hut users are flying into the area they need to pay the fee.

Wow off your meds there bro?

Sorry guys...mixed my meds with sledding, alcohol, pain killers and cannabis. Right off my rocker...

Luckily J-rock and Bubbles pumped my gut. After I hurled Julian was there to help me wash down my vomit with a rum/coke.

My apologies!

Out of curiosity does your magic trail counter your installing know when someone has a prepurchased trail pass from online or from the visitor center or have a seasons pass? Seems like the numbers won’t be a true representation of reality....

The counter is not to "catch" people not paying but to give us information on numbers of sleds going up the trail after our fee collection person leaves. If there is enough hits then we can adjust the collection schedule and it gives us information to again discuss with the hut society about fee collection.
