o boo hoo how many Albertans are unemployed because of bc,s policy to not let a pipeline in their province so what do these people do when the skiing shut down in the off season

Oh sorry I didn't realise there was a compitition on who laid the most workers off...

All I'm saying is that big meany millionaire employs a few people in the area....

How many jobs are you providing in Canada

From what I understand, Weigle does not employ any local residents. Nor does he support the town. Hence why there is so much animosity towards him. Although, it sure was a sight to behold when a bunch of his employees- all young girls - decided to go to the Legion one particular Thursday evening a few years ago. Whew!.... that was fun.

.....I'm reminded of a song, by one known as "Bubbles".........

I was down, drinking at the legion, I met a girl, she was nice, she was pretty and pleasin'.....

Took the family panorama skying over Christmas, from clerks, staff, to ski patrol.. all seam to be over seas.. asked how they got back with covid pandemic, they said no problems, the hill called them essential services and there visas were granted..

sure makes you wonder how much gov pull these ski hills have.. all make minimum wage and take away from local jobs

Well I guess they won't be buzzing sledders with the choppers this year.
Said incident was many years ago but apparently the wrong area was ventured into with sleds and one of the choppers buzzed the group while they were stopped. No tears shed by this guy for Wiggly.

I cant speak for the staff or to what degree he supports the town, but i do know he does a couple free days a year for the local children. Takes them up some easy runs close to town to learn to ski. I can appreciate that.

Maybe time to see if there is some common ground. Sledder's go rent the lodge, and show him how awesome we are. Then maybe in the future there will be less animosity, and there can be a relationship like Mustang, and Monashee have.

If he says pound sand, then i guess we know our options.

250 people out of work is sad no matter where they are from. Has to be local companies missing out on supplying goods and services as well.

Last time I talked to someone from town they said everything is brought in from out of town; food, booze, workers,... He puts nothing back into the town for the most part.
