I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is/ or closest to blue river any Heli services that will pick up a sled with a snapped drive shaft and drop it off at blue river air port ?

Weigles uses Yellowhead choppers as well as his own. There would be one in town now I think. If you phone Yellowhead I would ask if one is stationed in Blue River and work them on price.

Yellowhead has bases in Valemount and Clearwater. Not sure who Wiegle contracts to but they are based in Blue and not owned by him, just a contract.

Three years ago we got a quote from wiegle and they wanted 3500$ to retrieve a sled from Salmon lake(10 kilometers from town via helicopter), called Yellowhead and he would fly to Blue river for 2200$ from Valemount. We just repaired it on the hill for that kind of money.

Can you share with us how Yellowhead dealt with taking it out? Did they have to come from Valemount or ???
Did you have to leave a suitcase of money to get it out?

It was my 2015 pro . Yellowhead was ok to deal with. They kept me hanging for a day. But no damage to my sled and $1400 out of valemount. Ya it could have been fixed on the hill. But why waist a day fixing. I would rode my second sled and enjoyed the snow

Flown a couple out and with a really good deal it was $3000.00
A lot longer flight though.
Astar is 1900.00 per hr plus fuel .
This is up north though.
Yellowhead charges the same for a 206L
