Been thinking of buying in the states, I wonder how the other manufacturers are handling this. Maybe its time to swtch brands. As I was going to buy an XP in the states, with the problems they were having, I'm glad I did'nt.

I finally got my issues worked out. It took a lot of talked to BRP, but its done. I guess I saved the drive down to the states, but I earned the money saved by waiting on hold for BRP.

Myself and fellow co-workers have bought 30 new units from a dealer in the states in the last 6 months. They have been mostly can-am/ ski-doo. They are not allowed to sell to canadians but there are ways around that. As for the warranty issues, there are ways around that also. It's all a big game, you just need to know the rules so you can find/ work your way around it.

pm me with what dealer so I can use them also. You just need to pay gst and 199.00 +gst for the riv fees and 72hrs notice. It does not matter on the miles on sled. Even if it is sold as a used sled I am having problems with warranty issues. Anyone have an e-mail for BRP to shoot them a question on out of state warranty.

I have been told just get the unit registered to an American Citizen, but I am not sure how to get the warranty to transfer up. Any advise you can give would be helpful. I got mine sled out of the US with 400 miles on it and most of the updates where done, but now i am having problems with the gauges and need that update. If you could tell me how to get warranty I would appreciate it.
