LOL, I like the way you think. Definately could use some more around here. And what perfect timing for this weekend and the rides everyone has planned. :d

SANTA’S TOY RIDE

Sunday January 9, 2011

This is a fun Tri-County Snowmobile Club Family Ride open to anyone with a snowmobile – so bring a friend for a great day.
Which mixes a great day of snowmobiling with community contributions to both the Santa’s Anonymous and the Food Bank.
Please bring an unwrapped toy for “Santa’s Anonymous” or food/cash for the “Food Bank”.

STAGING LOCATION:
The staging area is south east of Edmonton on Highway 21 about 60km by the Town of Hay Lakes
It is just south of the town of Hay Lakes 1 km on Range Road 215..
As you pass the turn off for the town of HAY LAKES on Highway 21 south bound there is a sign (Big GREEN Distance sign ,, CAMROSE 30km) ,, just after that sign is RR215.. turn right off Highway onto RR 215 and drive south 1 km.

TIMES:
Unload at 10:30am
Ready to ride about 11:00am
Ends at about 3:30pm

EVENT:
This is a legal approved Santa’s Toy Ride which will be in the big wide ditches of Highway 21.
This allows for great snowmobile exposure to the community as an organized ride and community function
It has been approved by the Alberta Highways, County of Camrose, County of Leduc and the R.C.M.P.
We will have road marshals monitoring the road crossings and rescue trailer for any problem sleds along the routes
Everyone must follow Rudolf’s sled and obey the Road Marshals at the road crossings, in an orderly parade fashion.
We have a very large plowed out staging area just beside RR215 so you will not get stuck and is great for large trailers

10:30am- arrive and unload sleds, sign in and drop off Santa’s Anonymous unwrapped toys and/or food for the Food Bank.
11:00am - First leg of the ride runs from Hay Lakes north in the ditches of Highway 21 for 25 km to Highway 625,
12:00 am – Stop for a rest at Highway 625
12:30pm - Then South 25km again along the ditches of Highway 21 back to Hay Lakes staging area
1:30pm - A warm up fire will be at the staging area – so bring some wieners or smokies and have some lunch
Some may want to stay and socialize or head home
2:00pm - Second leg if people wish is south on Highway 21, for 11km to the town of Armena and then back 11km back to the staging area at Hay Lakes
3:00pm – Second warm up fire and social
3:30pm – load up and head home

We will have some dealers out for the day with some new sleds/gear to you to demo also.

So bring your family or a friend and have a great day snowmobiling
