I was just wondering if anyone has installed a furnace in this type of trailer and what type of furnace you installed where you got if from and what kinda setup you had. This would be much appreciated

Id wouldnt recomend that. One guy at work fired one of those up in his trailer then drove to staging. Made it half way when the trailer was engulfed in flame. good for a cook out though. I bought one for a friend to heat his garage to work on quad. He started it in morning went back a couple hours later walked in and just about passed out and not in the drunk way. The burner ate up all O2. Nothing to breath.

Hey catpride sweet setup thanks for the pics. I was just wondering where did you get the furnace from how much?? And how long will it run for off an external battery?? As well where abouts did you end up putting your propane tank??

Thanks

Hey Catpride, what brand of trailer is that? I like that idea of a tri-axle.

he must of had one hell of and extension cord. LOL

Ya I am aware of the dangers of running one of these. I intend to use it more for those cold days when you want to warm up the sleds so that you can start them. Last Dec we were at Mcbride and at -38°C it was nearly impossible to roll over the big 1000's. The other nice thing is when need you only need to fire it for a few minutes to warm up the trailer. I would imagine that I will need to keep both vents open so the O2 deprivation and CO accumulation aren't going to knock me down

I got the furnace off Ebay for $500.00, 55,000 btu. I have two batteries and they will last all weekend. The nice thing with the furnace is the whole trailer is warm. Ya the duct work needs some TLC, make it look more professional. The propane is on the lower right side. If you need more pics send me your email and I will take more in a couple of weeks.
Thanks

The brand of trailer is Mirage, the axles are 5500lbs each. The trailer pulls like a robin hood arrow. The only real b_tch is sharp corners. Having three axles helps when hauling my old car around.

It has a o2 depletion sensor in it and was like only 200 bucks doesn't vent but i am lazy and dont have time this year to install a sweet system like catpride has. Wouldn't want to sleep in the trailer or anything with it in and infact they dont sell them in canada cause our houses are sealer to well compared to the states so they would deplete to much oxygen and creat problems sort of thing

I like the generator idea, That way if the diesel don't start you could plug it in and sit in a warm trailer while it warms up.

What kind of heater is that and how well does it work?Does it have to be vented outside or does it have a safety shutdown if there is lack of O2?

Its made by Eskabe, Empire also makes one. It does need to be vented. Here's a picture of my vent and cover.
