Good day everyone… I was working on my sled this evening (1998 Summit X 670) putting on a new set of grips. The new grips have a knobby end so since the wires from the old grips was run down the center of the bars they would have to be removed and the wires re run. I used a heat gun to loosen up the glue and carefully peel them off and then pull the wire up through the bars. Previously, I had been so impressed with the RSI warmers on my wife’s sled I thought that this would be a good time to put new ones on mine.

At this point I had an idea… My wife (wh has a 1999 Summit 600) and I do a lot of riding with our children. They are still small enough to ride in front of us holding onto the mountain bar/strap. There little hands get cold just like the rest of us. Would it be feasible to attach grip warmers to each side of the mountain bar that they hold onto, wire it into its own toggle switch and keep their hands nice and toasty? Would the extra set of warmers be too much for the sled? It’s just and idea at this point but I may give it a try with the warmers I peeled off. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

should work since the sleds put enough voltage out

prob u still will have is that the most mountainbars are totally free to the wind which makes them so much harder on the hands
if u would build urself maybe a little quick attaching shield (windshield for the bar) so when u ride with the kids u snap it on and there want be any wind fighting the little hands
