The cop that pulled me over a month ago said that as soon as you modify the height of the vehicle it is illegal, it doesn't matter how much, I even asked about a leveling kit on the front and he said still illegal because it is out of compliance with that traffic safety act bs stuff

There are cops out there that can't remember there last donut little less all the traffic laws.

There is a ton of hillbilly homebuilt redneck junk on the road that shouldn't be and another bunch of unsafe garbage idiots spent a pile of money on that should be looked at... Have you guys not looked at the Cheesey thread ?

It's about time Alberta cracks down on the junk.

I have a lift, tinted windows, led bar, air bags, etc, pulled over and checked out thoroughly with my trailer in vale last winter, tumbler and gp in the spring and never had any complaints, if you're not a dickhead when they pull you over and you don't have anything to hide most cops won't bother you from my experiences, why would they pull a brand new modified truck off the road when they can pull a dangerous one off? I wouldn't be worried unless you have an unsafe vehicle and running tint up front is a risk we all take and as long as it's not limo tint generally they don't bother, I think I've gotten one $75 ticket for tint in the last 10 or more years

Yeah, but it sounds like they're on a mission in Red Deer right now, probably a lot like they were in the Edmonton area a few weeks ago. ..saw cops sitting in unmarked vehicles by the road side looking for anything they could find. I got pulled over and the cop was very nice, but he still gave me a tint ticket after he finished complimenting me on my mud flaps.

That could be it then for sure, the cops in GP do that crap about once a year, trying to ticket for anything and everything, I like the argument the tint compromises the safety of the window, anyone who's rolled a truck or broken a tinted window can attest to the fact it separates from the window and has no effect on its ability to break

They should just make all private vehicles illegal, then we can all ride the bus/train together!!

Wouldnt that be Grand! I love communism!!

Haha I laughed out loud at that. That's hilarious!

Personally i believe that its getting to the point where it's ridiculous. How about we focus more on reducing the cost of government instead of coming up with ridiculous money grab schemes like this in little hope of justification of their bloated budget.

I can attest to the safety side of the tint, had a pebble merchant drop a nugget from his load and it hit my drivers side window, the glass shattered like it was supposed to, but the tint kept it in place, and I was able to carry on to work with it still in place. Oh, and it was also in the mid -30's that morning....The tint paid for itself that morning :)

It is a good thing that we do not get as much government as we pay for.

Nice. Vote Libertarian :)

I am also sick of other people (usually liberals in most cases) Telling other people what they can and can't do. Individuality is being oppressed for the good "others". How about everyone stops sticking their nose in other peoples lives and start living your own.
