Had my pressure washer blow a hole in the pump. An o ring let go and got rammed into the outlet, blocking it. The result is the brass head cracked. This was a $800 pressure washer. No fault of mine. It was stored properly in a heated garage. Used maybe 5-7 hours total if that. They only have a one year warranty on them. I had it in there for three weeks for repair and finally brought it home to repair as they were not doing anything. Lesson learned. I am sure glad it isn't one of their $4500 pressure washers that crapped out.

I bought a 3500psi washer from Rona about 10 years ago. 5hp Honda, never stored in warmth in the winter and never an issue. I think I paid about 450.00 back then on sale. Sorry to hear about the chitty luck there Keith.

Bummer.. I have probably 4-500 hrs on a few different princess units, quality for the dollar in my opinion... honda GX engines score, AR pumps yep, can't build it for cheaper than what they are selling them for. My big boy is 4.5 GPM at 3000 psi its a monster for $1200.00 makes a big truck wash look lame...

I figured I would take the risk and lost. I have it rigged so I can still use it, just it leaks now. I will continue using it I guess until it blows. Engine still runs good and is a 14hp. I might get a new pump for it when funds allow or when it goes boom.

Powerfist princess auto brand stuff is complete junk. But they do carry some name brand stuff, the pressure washer I got there is honda motor comet pump, same as pumps and pressure sells.

I took the risk as they always say how good there no questions asked return policy is. They say even if you don't have a receipt it will be in the system. Well that is BS too I found out. It is back to buying there with the understanding that everything there is disposable and buy as such. LOL I won't even get into the two blown hoses that came with it, the first being a blown hose as soon as I started it the first time.

Are you just holding the trigger down? Is it not unloading? If so thats easy.. lube up the unloader or replace.. only about $100

I was reading about your blown hose deal before too, I think it may be your unloader does it hammer like a bitch when you let off the trigger?

Also if you got 14hp engine its a big one... volume is way more important than pressure

I personally have never had a problem with princess auto. I usually buy all my tools/shop supplies from princess auto. I can go back a year later without the receipt and they will return it for me.

I also had a pressure washer crap out, but it was a briggs and stratton pump that went, the motor still ran like a champ, one of the valve caps blew right off the pump. took it in and returned it, came back a month and a half later, seen the same kind of pressure washer this time with a honda motor, 3000psi 2.7gpm but this time the price was $80 more. All i did was go up ask the cashier if i could get the price match from my last one that i just returned. And they did for me. I have nothing but good things to say about princess auto, sure the tools aren't quality, but no worries, return it and always have fresh clean tools! :d

Just go buy a new one, swap out the pumps, and take it back...tell them it's a piece of sh!t, and you want your $$ back.

We have the big princess auto electric pressure washer at work... Used daily and heavily in weekend for shop cleaning .... Also have their 3 hp gas engine pressure washer at home and never a problem with either.... Shop one is 3 years old and home one is at least 4 or 5 years old now
