hawaii vacation

So booked a condo in maui in november, now need to book a flight. Wondering who people have used or any good leads on good experiences. Prefer direct flight but seem to be hard to find these days. Thanks in advance .

Same here. Went there 3 times and used westjet direct every time. Avoid United, like a cattle car in the sky. Gong show.

Been there with westjet no complaints other than stop in Vancouver. Airport was under construction kind of a gong show probly ok now. Would deffinetly try to find direct just because you kill an entire day changing over in Vancouver both ways.

Looked at westjet, air canada, delta, united on the mobile apps and nothing showed direct all went through vancouver, think im better off to phone. Agreed on the united and even delta prices are 3 times what westjet and air canada are!

We try and book Transat when we fly. I'm not sure what there flights are to Hawaii though.

Correction. Val tells me it was Edmonton to Van. Then Hawaii.

It did not seem bad at all.

That's why I figured we went direct because don't remember the stop.

Last year we flew direct from Edmonton. West jet does it. Other years we did Vancouver LA etc

Wouldnt mind going through van if its just to pick up passengers but changing planes is lame...I could have 3 crown royals before van..be a good primer

Kauai and Maui were both direct from Vancouver on westjet.

We usually go too Maui in Feb. Flew with westjet and had direct from Edmonton both times.

if you think Van is bad try Heathrow or Amsterdam.

That is by far the worst airport I have even been through. And have been through it many times. Just seems to get worse.

It sucks for us even more as they are set up for nexus but don't use it. Otherwise it would be a breeze to go theough

Did you have to change planes or just pick up passengers?

Went to Maui in april last year flew direct with West Jet from Edmonton but Thomas Cook rents to west jet planes jut for the direct flights to maui and middle of April is there last direct flight for the season but I think they start up again in December again

Looks like your screwed if you went in December you would have a direct flight WestJet announced today it has leased two Boeing 757-200 aircraft from Thomas Cook Airlines to deliver more non-stop, daytime service between Calgary and Honolulu and Maui, and between Edmonton and Maui.

Pending regulatory approval*, flights are scheduled to begin December 13, 2012, and continue through April 21, 2013. Details of WestJet's seasonal non-stop service include:​

Route	Weekly frequency
Between Calgary and Honolulu	Twice weekly
Between Calgary and Maui	Four times weekly
Between Edmonton and Maui	Three times weekly

We go again this Jan. I sure hope we can do the direct flight again. It was so nice leaving in the morning at getting there early afternoon instead of 11 midnight or like 1am.
