Level 1 charging is a standard 120 volt 15 amp outlet. So yes, you can charge off a generator, but it would take a standard 2000 watt generator 14 hours running at full load to recharge the battery.

My son claims his tesla loses charge in the batteries when plugged into a 120 outlet at -20c and colder.

Wouldn‘t work well in my riding are. But for trail riding groomed trail where charging is available I think they would work well enough.

My Honda 2000 burns a tank every 4hrs when on full load. So mathematical at approximately 4L per tank x 4 tanks = 16L, little cheaper than a full tank of gas. But, if it dies on the hill side who has a generator readily available and the time to waste 14hrs?

Might be a good kid toy for the acreage but not at that price. What's the cost to change out the batteries?

These units will be as bad as the on highway EV fad….
Unless range increases and cost decrease drastically, who would buy one…?

I agree that they are currently only marketable to the trail riders out east, so there should be a larger market, but even that…. Most sledders are motorheads and appreciate a sled for what it is… a raw powered toy.
