Harley Guys, good shops????

My buddy has a real nice moderately customized Harley and is fed up with a local Harley Davidson dealer. He is hoping to find a shop to build a relationship with, much like many of us have with T&T in Bonnyville. He is willing to travel to do business with the right people. This thing is his baby and he needs to find a shop he can trust.

Which are to good ones.

I am definitely no Harley owner, but, I've heard really good things about Gasoline Alley in Dead Rear.

I've got nothing bad to say about Gasoline Alley. they sure treated me well as a first time customer, and came highly praised by my friends that have bought and dealt with them. helps that my buddy is a tech there, he has built some pretty cool bikes and specializes in go fast stuff.

I haven't used them myself but have friends that will go nowhere but After Dark. I have a local buddy here in Whitecourt that does my work... the things I won't tackle myself. He took the Harley training at Fairview college and works on all types of Harleys in his garage at home full time through the summer months. I can send you his number if you like.

The best place to work on your bike is in your own garage. Buy a service manual for your bike, it is the best investment you will ever make. You can basically tear your bike apart and out it back together following the book, it has everything you need to know.

He does do a lot of his own work, but some things are better left to the professionals with the proper tools & equipment. I work on my own sleds but T&T helps out when I'm over my head, same with my vehicles I do what I'm comfortable with but Summitric & his guys tackle the complicated chit.... pretty difficult to do a wheel alignment in my garage. But I hear what your sayin.

Welch's, for sure, heads above the rest. Harley just likes to take your money, nothing else. NEVER DEAL WITH HARLEY-DAVIDSON. MOCO IS BAD

My opinion is Gasoline alley, And we have a Harley shop in town. Been dealing with them for quite a few years, theyve done all my motor work , tuneups, and general maintenance and always been very satisfied with the results, something I could never say about local or some other shops I've dealt with. A big factor I believe is they have a dyno in the shop , takes away guess work. Used to deal with heritage , no more .

Depends what your looking for, if it's a new bike Voight Harley Davidson of FortMcMurray hands down. Top notch dealer very personable regular people.

Well at least you know that every Harley mechanic has logged thousands of hours fixing hogs, just need to get along with the guy behind the counter!

im also looking for a good shop with a dyno ive got a 120r in a roadglide but it has a flat spot in the throttle

Yep they do, but make sure they are familiar with your tuner or its pointless.

RP? Take her in and let me know how it works out. I have the 110 in a Street glide with a Screaming Eagle programmer....hoping to squeeze all I can outta this thing.
