Well its a first that I know of. Pretty impressive actually, there is a vid of it flying on instagram. For the flights they do, I think its a great idea.

Some one had to be the first, pretty cool imo. Beaver would have a useful load of 2000lbs+, so batteries required to beat gravity significant as this one would last “100 miles”

you're probably right.....they just won't be battery powered.....the electricity source will be a cold fusion generator or something......and as far as an electric airplane goes....not for this cowboy....the only thing that makes this remotely feasible is the fact that its a float plane....able to set down on the ocean when the batteries die early because of weather or flight delays etc.....
