Flapping your lips on a forum accomplishes exaclty f!@k all. Send you letters to the MLA and sign petitions and support your Gun lobby of choice.

Choice is yours, but don't come to me looking for sympathey when the Boot Jacks come for your guns.

EXACTLY!!

Remember when the petitions came around for seatbelts and the majority signed no? Strange how seatbelt law came anyway…

That’s right, you were the first person I was going to come to crying…… I guess I will find someone else. Relax lol.

All I’m saying is everyone is donating and sending letters is great if it makes one feel better, but Justin is still full steam ahead. Justin will do what Justin wants, nothing is stopping him until people refuse what’s happening in our country.

Oh and btw, I actually sat with my MLA to discuss this and a few other issues. He was a joke, he didn’t have a clue about anything. It was actually sad he was in power for that. It was a waste of time trying to talk with him.

They are in appeals court over the first OIC. If they win that one the one that was brought into effect Dec 05 will become nullified

so let's hope they win the appeal.
If the government had a legit leg to stand on they would go through the proper process instead of an OIC. They are trying to pull a fast one so that is why they chose the OIC and the path they continue on. They will find ways around the proper path in any way they can, they have already shown that with their initial course of action. Why should we have to wait for a court battle to play out for something that is being done in the worst way and for the worst possible reason?

They clearly do not represent "the people", they are representing someone/something else......Who/what might that be??

People need to wake up to what is happening and start understanding the gravity of it.

Stand up for yourselves, your countrymen and human rights in general. Most govts/politicians are just crooked mafia players.

I appoligize greasy, my last post wasn't directed at you personally, It was a generalization, I'm on CGN and there is a lot of lip flapping happening there. Donating to what seems to be a loosing cause does give me a lot anquish, but at least I'm not rolling over and caving to the Dictators.

That’s cool. It’s hard to understand through text in a forum sometimes. Me either, that’s why I went and sat with my MLA, it was really sad. I should have stayed him and talked with the nearest tree.

You can get active. You can donate to the CCFR. They are fighting for you in court even though you don’t appreciate it. You can write letters to MPs. Or like Ron said you can whine on social media and drop your pants and take it up the kazoo. Guaranteed if you bend over you stand zero chance of keeping your guns. Our best bet now is a win in appeals or Supreme Court or a change of government. The more money donated to the gun lobbies and Conservatives gives us all a better chance of getting our gun rights back.

may have already been mentioned but is there a grandfather clause or are they planning on buyback or just seizing?
are there enough gun owners in canada to make seizure shall we say, unpalatable for the gov’t?

Buyback and seizure. Not sure they can put a couple million people in jail that don’t comply but I can see the freezing of bank accounts and bullchit like that. If it comes down to it at the end better have your digital money converted in your mattress and hide your guns and hope sanity kicks in

Millions have been donated already… and more bans keep coming it seems. You think if Pierre gets in handguns and ar’s will be back in stores and back to being sold and transferred the way it was years ago? I guess time will tell. Don’t get me wrong, if the conservatives get in and change it all, it would be great, but I have my doubts.

CBC is reporting that the govt has now quietly added parts to the current ban. Mags, barrels, bolts and sights are some of them. This will raise the cost substantially experts say.

No grandfathering, you die your guns die. Can't even put them in a will to a family member. This is ALL your guns will have to be handed in and destroyed. Non restricted as well as restricted.

Anyone else get a email from the RCMP/CFP about the additional guns and bans.

I find it comical that some of these are non-restricted and being moved to prohibited and they expect you to hand em in. You know how much gas is to deliver these things…

It’s difficult to deal with some of the narrow minded politicians, they blow a lot of smoke up your ass when they are campaigning for your vote, but once they are elected, they expect you to kiss their ass
