They have been grandfathered if you own them but you can never sell or leave them to anyone in a will and all new sales are no longer allowed. Most gun retailers sell more handguns and ARs combined than hunting rifles and shotguns. At least that’s what I was told by my retailer.

What is their reasoning Ron? I have to believe any erosion of retailers and ranges is a bad thing. I know there was a big split between the Airsoft community and the Gun community in the past. That changed somewhat when Airsoft was targeted as well by the govt to a degree. The “never going to happen to me”is not a valid argument with this government in power.

If you can open this link take a read for yourself. Something about the Swiss Arms Clasic green, things about selling memberships until the bitter end and not letting people know, Gift certificates that will not be honoured.

I don't know how much if it is true or not.

Just read through it. I can see some of the guys points for sure. Just another casualty of the Liberal govt.

Doors have been closed all week there.

It does suck for the community. I’d suspect ammunition was a big part of sales for handguns, with no members and no one buying handguns, it’s really sucked the life out of the community.

That said good luck finding a timeslot/membership at a skeet range, or long gun ranges. Most are full to the tee, hopefully handgun owners don’t disappear, it move of a shift and trends to what’s possible.

Sent in my rpal renewal end of July(expires December) apparently the feds had it back to Alberta in august. Alberta is so backed up they're still processing when I called yesterday but if you call they seem to get it done for you.

Yeah I’m not throwing my AR in a cardboard box and hoping it doesn’t get stolen and used in a gang murder on the way to Ottawa. Funny how this govt works. If I want to go to the range I have to have a trigger lock on it and in a locked case and have to go directly to the range and back. Can’t stop at the neighbours for coffee on the way. But the government can accept it cross country in a cardboard box with no locks. Uh huh……

Had a great day recently at the range with my daughter shooting some of the fleet. Plinking with the Ruger Precision 17HMR and the big .44 Dirty Harry revolver after shooting the 9mm Sig P226. Daughter is still a better shot than Dad. View attachment 288935View attachment 288936
I call BS. No pictures of your daughter? She wasn’t there. :giggle:
