What a fn chit show. There are two answers to this people.
1. New government before any proposed bills are passed. In the meantime do not let the government compensate you for your guns. Drag the process out until enough time passes as either option 1 or option 2 come to fruition.
2. Donate to the CCFR and pray their lawyers are smarter than the government lawyers (good possibility) because now you are outside of the government making a decision on this as the courts will decide based on real debate in court.

You forgot option 3.... It's what our forefathers did to tyrannical governments which might come to this country if the men of this country find their balls again.

Okay we know what the basic problem is but the people in government fighting this (conservatives mainly) need to also add to the narrative that these newly added guns are also used in the target sports community and are not just hunting riffles!! There will be no remorse for hunters from the liberal licking Torontonian's. How many trap and skeet shooters are using semi's and on and on. How many 22 cal semi's are out there ? On the video on pg 1 there is a very well-spoken lady that talks about the new guns on the list but she keeps calling them hunting guns and farmers guns ?? To me that is not playing the political verbage as well as could be.

I see your point.... however #1... the general public does not care about the target sports community.. at all. In fact most are probably scared of them.
#2 the turd specifically stated that the government was not going after hunting firearms... so the hunting community was okay with that, and didn't put up a fight about it.

Now there are a ch!t pile of hunting guns on that list, the Benelli M's and the Super Blacl Eagles are some of the most popular bird guns in North America.

The Weatherby Mark V is another extremely popular hunting rifle that has been built for decades.. The Ruger #1 is also another, not as common as a Mark V, but has also been around for decades.
So to use the media against itself and continously say they are going after hunting firearms seems like a good play to me, maybe it will wake up the hunting crowd that doesn't participate in sport shooting to notice what the hell is going on.

At the end of the day the firearms community is still less than 10% of the population of Canada, so expect to get treated like chit.

Why didn't the government start with real stiff penalties for gun crimes?
Like armed robbery or break and entering with a weapon equals life in prison, no parole.

I copied Tracey’s letter and sent out 7 letters on Thursday and also sent an email to my Member of Parliament. Will it help? Dunno but it will show the displeasure Canadians have in the Liberal govt.

This not about protecting people, this is about getting the guns, allowing society to decay and the gov't swooping in to fix everything. Welcome to your row house. (conspiracy theory again)
