Wasnt there a vote for this or does trudy just put though what he wants. Can this be reversed

It's still going through parliament, but they made some amendments or fancy wording so that they could change legislation in the firearms act to put a stop to the transfers.

I have also read in a couple spots that they will not let you export them out of the country... which is quite funny.

Looks like no point in sending in for my RPAL now...but i might just do it anyways.
If you still own a banned rifle or a frozen handgun I would still renew your RPAL. You would need it to hold those guns in your possession. If not I’m not sure you would still need one?

Not a renewal, new RPAL.

These OIC’s can all be reversed simply with a new government. Pollievre has made that a priority he has said. When they become law I believe it will be tougher but still accomplishable.

Yeah you are probably right if that’s the case. Other than grandfathered handguns what can you own that is restricted? MK alluded to some fun guns but what are they? Aren’t all semi auto rifles not banned on the OIC all non restricted still?

Bans are effective immediately.

As of 12:01 AM EST this morning.

- Any handguns transferred before 12:01 AM EST this morning (10-21-2022) will be processed as usual with proof of purchase before the 12:01 AM cutoff.

- Any transfers started AFTER will be reviewed to see if the individual (buyer) is exempt. The individual will be contacted upon review by the CFO for proof that they meet the requirements for exemption.

- Handguns “pre-purchased” by individuals while the RPAL was being processed, will not be processed or “grandfathered in”.

- RPAL licenses processed after the freeze will not be refunded IF the individual decides to cancel the application.

This story will be updated later today after the Prime Minister and Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino make a further statement at a later press conference this afternoon.
Also have they increase time in jail for robbing some one or killing a person. I do not think so?

Likely not Libs seem to go the other way..they speak out of one side of their mouth then do something else that counters all reason.

I thought that I read that crime committed with guns would get lesser sentences? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that came out when the restrictions came out
Yup

A lot of the semi auto non restricteds that you can buy are also available to be bought with a shorter barrel, and the barrel length is the only thing that makes that firearm restricted. The Kriss Vector is a good example.

Top one is non restricted, bottom one is restricted ( same transport/ownership rules as handguns).

The CZ Bren 2's in various barrel lengths under 18", the B&T GHM9 also have restricted and non restricted versions.

Very true. This is what I replaced my AR15 after I took it to my shop to cut up. Non restricted and fun to shoot. I’ve taken it to BC a few times just to push the envelope to see if a CO will try to push their weight around.

Which for me and you Tim is utter bullchit because we still have common sense. That gun will do the exact same thing as my Sig M400 enhanced will but my barrel is a couple inches shorter. The Liberals are fawked if anyone is still having doubts out there.

You’re completely right, Ken. But one is an Assault rifle while the other is a sport rifle. There’s a difference.
I am waiting for the Libtards to ban Polaris Assault style sleds. They are the ones who are killing the caribou.

Liberals think a Carbon Tax will get rid of carbon.
How is a citizen gun ban going to stop illegal activity.

Liberals want a carbon tax to cripple the economy, and they want all guns because they have a system coming in the near future that will be total slavery and need the guns gone before implementing their shackles. They are not worried about climate or crime, but I've been called delusional before...

What did hitler do before the gas chambers?....... Or right, he disarmed the public. For their safety of course. Turned out great didn't it...

Govt cant get the handguns cause they made it illegal to buy, sell, or transfer. So no buyback program. These liberal clowns.

So when you die, they come and get/destroy them. They just have to wait till you die. Just a matter of time before everyone that has handguns dies...boom no handguns and it doesn't cost them a dime..they just made everyone panic and buy every glock and smith & wesson, spent all that money so you can have them for the next 20-30 years. Then they get them anyway.
