This is a battle we have to win, on both sides of the border. Once they ban a certain type of firearm they will go after the next until they have them all banned, then we will be under their thumb which is exactly where they want us.
What are you referring to as to "change your range" ?RCMP Canadian Fire Arms Program line is bombarded with calls today. Tried to change my range from Phoenix to Wabamun Gun Range, got through after being on hold for a long time, then they transferred me to a dead end.
When you purchase a handgun they ask you for a range that you are a member of. When you join a range they file with the provincial RCMP that your a member. I can only use my registered restricted firearm at that range. I want to go to the range close to my residence and phoenix one of our local ranges is undergoing renovations at this time. What are you referring to as to "change your range" ?
Well technically you don't need to be a member of a range to purchase a restricted firearm, if you don't have a range membership though you have no authorization to transport said restricted firearm. Now if you have a range membership I am 90% certain you are not limited to only that range provided you can travel directly to a range from your residence without stopping. I am a member at 3 different ranges and use them all depending on the day and what I am going to shoot. When you purchase a handgun they ask you for a range that you are a member of. I was told in my RPAL course that I must be registered at a range prior to purchase of a restricted weapon. When I bought both they asked each time. Then spoke with RCMP Firearms office today and they said I must be member or a range or they wont approve the transfer. When getting my RPAL I got a second one about 2 weeks after that says Standard and transportation conditions are attached to this license.Well technically you don't need to be a member of a range to purchase a restricted firearm, if you don't have a range membership though you have no authorization to transport said restricted firearm. The guys at Phoenix are awesome, spent a good 6 hours there and probably $5-600 one day when I was just getting into pistols and figuring out what I liked and didn't like to shoot.
I wonder who voted this clown in? Lol!Edmonton's mayor's thoughts on this, Quoted from The Edmonton Journal
On Monday, Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi tentatively endorsed the legislation, saying Monday he believes handguns have no place in cities.

Today the Liberal govt announced that BC will be the first province to legalize small amounts of hard drugs like cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. Sen Ed Markey: 'We Want to Violate The Constitution and Need Judges That Will Allow Us To Do So'
This is what we were taught as well in our RPAL course. When I ordered my AR my dealer told me I needed to join a range to shoot it if I wanted to have the request go through. He had a membership book in his desk for Claresholm for $30 lifetime if I remember? I have never been there but joined the Calgary District Target Shooters Club as they built a world class range 4 miles from my farm and that’s where I do the majority of my shooting.I was told in my RPAL course that I must be registered at a range prior to purchase of a restricted weapon. Yes the phoenix crew sounds awesome, spoke to them on the phone and they were very helpful. The Wabamun gun range is 15 minutes away from me, ill try that for the summer then go to phoenix in the winter.
