Chris Burandt has a good video on you tube where he flew over the area in a helicopter, it gives a real decent idea of the lay of the land. I have never been, but it is certainly on my list of to do's

Well we made it through 3 days of sledding and 3 nights of drinking, not sure which one hurts more.... Great place to ride and the accommodations and service is second to none. Highly recommend it to anyone who has never been. Very big area to ride with something for everyone. I'll try to post some pics when I get a chance...

We are heading up Thursday.this will be our 2nd trip.its a pretty cool place.it sounds like they are logging up there and the road in requires a radio.you can rent them for pretty cheap.we are bringing chains because we are pulling a 4 place enclosed trailer up.better safe than sorry...

Pretty self contained up there, they look after you like royalty. All you need is tire chains to easily get to the staging area, a radio to communicate with truckers,I take my own pillow but not really needed, trunks for the hot tub.Tons of options for riding, pick a direction and explore, there is a big map in the lodge to get you started. Take your own oil, they sell you fuel at a reasonable rate so no need to pack fuel. Missed this year but been the last 5 years and they get more refined every year. No doubt this place is a solid 10 out of 10

So that's up the scotch creek forestry road? Kinda like the chatter creek lodge?

It's up the 670 at Scotch Creek but caters solely to sledders unlike Chatter that is for skiers until spring.

I have not been up chatter creek but it kind of sounds the same...
Their website tells the story of its origins.original plans were to be a cat skiing lodge,if I am not mistaken,and the owners ran out of money.eventually Adam Trainer came along and turned it into a skidooing version....

no need to bring your own booze unless you want a couple for the day, they have a fully stocked bar so you can’t have your own booze unless your in your room. On the plus side they have a gong at the bar and every time you hit it all your friends get free booze, hit it twice for doubles. Awesome deal right there
I've never been but a group of friends have gone every year for the last 4 years. I've offered to let them take our 4 place instead of 2 vehicles towing 2 place trailers and they have always declined saying there is no place to turn around with a 4 place where you have to unload to sled in. Maybe they've added a turnaround? Good luck and have fun, they say it's a great place to go.
