I've been a member of Snowest and Articcat websites and came across Snow and Mud.com while shopping for performance parts for my new 09 M1000 Snopro 162 and like what I read about various tuning and products discussed on this site. Because the 2010 models are now out, I picked up this 09 for invoice price as the dealer wanted it out his doors and the price was worth the 280 mile round trip to pick it up. Doesn't have a mile on it, waiting for a little more fluff on the ground but have looked it over well and hugged it a little once in a while. I have put 1200 bucks in extras on it to start and next buy will be SLP y-pipe, can and pipe and either boondocker or commander3 for fuel settings and a set of gauges if I can find some more grease for the billfold somewhere. I have been riding a 2003 Articcat M1 900 twin with some tricked out gear and can't wait to see how they stack up against each other in horsepower and climbing. I also have 2 old sleds that I put the greenhorns on so the don't get busted up: a 1984 Eltigre 530 and a 1988 Wildcat 650.

Welcome to the site glad you found some of the stuff you are loking for. Hey about those old sleds. I can remember when those were the hot ticket in the big hills. That 650 wildcat was a good machine in its day and now good enough for the greenhorns. When I was a greenhorn a 74 Nordic 399 was a start.
Let us all know how the new sled with the add on goodies works for you

Actually when I went to the Cat dealer, I was looking for a 2010 Snopro and when he told me the list price was 13,200 out the door I told him I wanted have enough cash to do upgrades on speed parts and he was too high.....Then I would stop back by every once in a while for a couple of weeks and finally I think he got sick and tired of dealing with me and offered me the same sled but in a 2009 year for 10,200 out the door.... I don't think there is any difference in horsepower or performance between the 2 years out of the box and I saved 3,000 ... Does anyone know of any differences... let me know
