the "TILE" is another similar option. good idea to protect your investment.

Reply, the article was pretty vague about how it operates, but it looks like a real GPS tracking device where the Tile is only a close proximity Bluetooth based finder.

I can see theft related beatings going on the rise with these!

Would be good way to track your teenagers, my dad woulda had a much easier time catching those extra miles I put on the sled when I wasn't supposed to be using it... Lol

Hope they're successful & that they can handle some cold temperatures. With the solar charging panel, I'd be trying to put one on the roof of my trailer under a plexiglass cover.

Pre-Order | RETRIEVOR

I'm sure thefts will happen to a few of us again this year. It would be nice to have a way to recover stuff.
Looks like it's still in the development and fund raising stage. Estimated $299 for one unit and 1 year subscription.

Could just "place" a sled, show up with some masks and baseball bats. After the first couple thefts and beatings hit the news im sure the thefts will slow down.

haha. You're giving theives a lot of credit.

their web site is so ghetto I'm wondering if this thing is a joke

surely anyone with the knowledge to develop such a device would have invested a little more in presenting it

I call bogus !

GPS trackers use cell service to relay their information back .. the monthly fee for that alone is around $15 a month .. not a chance you can get away with $1.97 per unit

Its a start up. They are still needing funding to more forward. Im sure once they get some cash and get running full tilt they will have a better site and have better marketing.

the bad part is the thieves have a cell jammer that jams all signal with in 100 feet of any GPS.....I know because I tested a cell jammer to see if this works......thieves are always one step in front of us! if they have a jammer (which are illegal) they can jam the wireless cameras and all cell phones which include GPS! it will stop the kid that just goes and takes a sled but the bad guys today are organized and full pros with all the gagits .......just my 2 cents! I have my yard with hard wired theft system and a dog......oh and a few other secrets I cant discuss since the bad guys do read these sites! I would like to give my address out but no use testing a full prof system! lol

Thanks.
I was going by the fund raising web page that said the person with the most referrers wins one with a 1 yr subscription valued at $299.
$179 isn't as bad.

oh and to make a GPS tracker free to use since your GPS does not call anyone is to clone your sims card and use it in the GPS.....I want to play with this since I have access to a sim copier gagit machine! it should work!
