Goose tower stage/conditions?

Hey guys.
Going to swan hills this weekend.
Have been twice before, road trails once from the ball diamond.
The other time we went we staged at 25k on goose tower rd and road a bit west, road a few cut blocks but conditions were not the best.
Is it better to stage at 28 or 33k as i have read or stick to 25k?
Also once we stage do you ride the road up until you hit cut lines or are they pretty much right there?
Looking for the best pow to ride this weekend with the boys, any info would be appreciated.

I don't know whats harder to find these days TP or Swan Hills conditions. Must be pretty good up there and nobody is willing to hand out the good news, I've requested conditions from up there a couple times this winter and never got any responses. We are thinking of just heading up on Saturday just to try it but I've never been there so don't even know where to look.

So where it says goose tower fire station, is this the infamous goose tower people speak of?
Just follow the road west about what 25k ish?

Great area tide to the north and west I think they even swing a groomer through there for the rally

We were just up by goose tower for 3 days snow is great but the main trails haven’t been groomed and are whooped out limited parking space off the road but a few were parked along side of the road without issues the road in is getting icy in places and muddy in others

Not a lot, if you dont like wrecking tracks and breaking stuff id stay away, less than 2 feet of snow in the high country

I'm guessing a LOT of folks will be headed there this weekend. A couple folks on facebook posted up pictures of "Alberta Snow" depicting awesome 3' powder conditions and about 6 comments into a 100 comment thread people were convinced it was Swan hills. A couple people called BS and insisted they were pictures from another year (likely right) but the comment crowd seemed to be running with "Swan Hills is the place to be"

They might of got some in the last few days possibly but buddy was out there last week and it was very meh he said

had a buddy up there on the weekend, he said approximately 30" of snow, stay on the trails if you're going up.

Wondering what conditions are like. I’m just looking to take the kid up for some trail riding on his 370. Looking to stage in town and hoping the snow is good enough to keep things cool on my summit.

I haven't had a report in a couple of weeks, but if you call Don @ Wilderness Playground Tours (780) 333-2800 he will happily give you an update.

Please make sure you have your ASA Memberships as these are ASA Club maintained trails, you can buy them from Don when you get up there, $25 a day or $90 for the season.

Was up there last weekend, There about a meter in the trees, but its thin in the cut blocks. As long as you stay on the cut lines you will be fine with a short tracks.
There logging on the Driftpile road way back there past 20km , so watch out for trucks.
