You mean to say there is a town called Goodfish lake, AB with a cultural centre? I don't see that on google maps or anywhere for that matter.
Drive along highway 28 and head North to Goodfish Lake on highway 36(there is a sign that says Goodfish lake) Cultural centre is on the reserve.
Type in Goodfish cultural center on your google maps Pops right up!

It will be 65kms - 70kms. Not exactly sure because we changed a part of it right after the first beaver dam. But other than that it's the same trail as last year. Half way point changed as well.

Great, thank you. As someone has mentioned before; is it critical to pass the beaver dam(s) before it is messed up if you have a sport quad? In other words, will there be significant difficulties getting past it after that or is there a way around? Also, what time does the event start? Is it right after registration that is 10-12? Or can you simply start riding once you're registered? Sorry for the multitude of questions, it is my first rally. Thank you in advance.

A sport quad will make it. 4/4 is good to have. Once you register you can leave to the trail. First beaver dam you can go around through someone's yard and the other 2 beaver dams there are ways around. It's best to be in front or buddy up.

My buddy bailed since he can't register his quad. Anyone else coming up from Edmonton?

He bought the quad off his sister in Manitoba, it was never registered. They want an inspection here in Alberta before he can register it. That thing is so old and a bunch of stuff not working, it will never pass.

Why would they want an off road vehicle inspected. That sounds odd. I have never had to do it so I can't confirm. Maybe they are checking vins as well.

But was that a dirt bike or on road bike? A motorcycle that is street legal will need an inspection but didn't think it was required for a off road vehicle like jnsaid

I called another registry and they said it doesn't need it. Seems odd to me as well. I am not surprised about anything these days though with how ****ty the private registries are. He's gonna call around tomorrow.

So whoever is interested; I found Alberta's Traffic Safety Act for Off-road vehicles. Reading through it, it appears you do NOT have to pass any inspection whatsoever. Just uninformed registry clerk, go figure.

I didn't get to that part this year but until a few quads or side by sides go through there it will be ripped up just like the picture. My brother calls that part Hells Kitchen.
