Define immigrant?

I grew up with people who's parents came from other countries roughly the same time as my folks... YET they still have the branding of being immigrants.

I feel no threat to immigrants, if they contribute to society and work just as hard as me to make it.. so be it. If they do better than you, then pull up your socks.. LOL

and it's SAW... not "seen" FYI

Seen it on more then one website, there's two sides to every story, thought I would share a video that included a lot of the cons. I don't know why your going after me lol I just posted a video that i seen that will open curiosity to the refugee crisis. I don't see any gains from hiding anything but i can think one a reason why the media is not broadcasting the information along, retaliation, want to make a bunch of Muslims with a history of terrorism mad at you? I seen it on the news about them making threats against companies. Not to mention about how the world would cry racism, seems like our freedom of speech is racism now as well. But they take advantage of their new found rights being in Canada.

Dont know if anyone's been to Regina lately, half of the population is immigrants.

The 'M' Word: Oh my!

Ya Gotta love Jeff Foxworthy :

Have you ever wondered why it's OK to make jokes about
Catholics, the Pope, Jews, Christians, the Irish, the
Italians, the Polish, the Chinese, the French (including
French Canadians), the elderly, Rednecks, bad golfers,
men/women, blacks/whites, etc.,
but it's " insensitive" to make jokes about Muslims?

Time to level the playing field and be "politically
correct" by including the Muslims!

Jeff Foxworthy on Muslims:

1. If you refine heroin for a living, but you have a moral
objection to liquor,

You may be a Muslim.

2. If you own a $3,000 machine gun and a $5,000 rocket
launcher, but you can't afford shoes,

You may be a Muslim.

3. If you have more wives than teeth,

You may be a Muslim.

4. If you wipe your butt with your bare hand but consider
bacon to be unclean,

You may be a Muslim.

5. If you think vests come in two styles: Bullet-proof
and suicide.

You may be a Muslim.

6. If you can't think of anyone you haven't declared
jihad against,

You may be a Muslim.

7. If you consider television dangerous but routinely carry
explosives in your clothing,

You may be a Muslim.

8. If you were amazed to discover that cell phones have uses
other than setting off roadside bombs,

You may be a Muslim.

9. If you have nothing against women and think every man
should own at least four,

You may be a Muslim.

10. If you find this offensive and don't forward it

You may be a Muslim.

If you find this offensive and don't forward it
- you are part of the problem in Canada!

Get your head out of the sand!

Define immigrant?
I guess that's a general term I used, but it's mostly East Indian. Quite a few Asians but they assimilate into the population and work their butts off. East Indians are lining up for EI at SaskJobs, on welfare getting the government to pay their rent, my girlfriend said she was filling out forms every day for people to rent apartments. Buddies who have kids said the parents are trying to ban O Canada, no more Christmas. There's East Indians coming into Canada don't speak a lick of English but they're getting taught how to drive as a "professional driver". It sounds like a conflict of Interest having a East Indian "test" an East Indian and speaking their own language, how do we know he's not telling them everything? I know for a fact when I was writing my written part for my motorcycle license there's was a group of 5 taking the test for their class 5 license and they were all cheating and got busted by one of the issuers.

On a daily basis we collect intell to figure out who the "radical" ones are...the Muslims in their own mosques never know or admit to who the radicals are.... So how in the fawk are we supposed to know which ones are legit???? If they don't know them selves ???

I am so fricking fed up of the kids of these new immigrants , taking of to fight for Isis or trying to blow some one up over hear, or telling us we need sharia law....then the parents go on TV and claim they had no idea!!! TOTAL BS ,if the parents don't know they are being radicalized, how would a westerner know...
This crap needs to end...NOW, or we will be the next Europe ... Overrun in our own country!!
Today JT and mulcant are fine with the face covering law and would drop the appeal if elected...ONLY Harper wants them to take that rag of their face to become a Canadian....I rest my case...!!!!!!!

You ask me why Harper., well that is one pretty good reason right there .... One of many !!!
There were hardly any Canadians that went to fight for ISIS and most domestic terrorism is done by Caucasians not new immigrants. That said we need to tighten up immigration. I am tired of new immigrants coming over just take advantage of our social programs and Healthcare not to mention committing other crimes.

I'm sorry I don't have the best grammar, I don't get paid to write papers, I just feed people and build roads everyone drives on.

But here's some proof to what I'm saying,

for the driving part go here

O Canada started to get removed from schools http://www.cbc.ca/m/news/canada/new-brunswick/n-b-school-silences-o-canada-1.827460

If I would've known people could be so offended and untrusting for no reason, I would've gotten pictures of what I was talking about. I'm not saying immigrants are bad. Everyone's an immigrant. I work with a few and they work harder then 90% of the work force, never miss any days either.

unfortunately it is true about the driving issue. A few years ago I was heading to Golden and while in the Rogers Pass I was following a CN Intermodal truck. it was early morning so no traffic in Feb. The truck bounced off the curb a couple times then eventually driver laid it on its side. I stopped and ran to see if he was ok by climbing the passenger side. The driver was from Bangladesh and I could not even carry on a conversation with him because he barely spoke English. Unacceptable!!!

have you heard of the Panjabi State in India?? If not, it is one of the most violent regions in India with a lot of extremism. Most Sikhs coming to Canada originate from that region. So, how does our government decide who is good and who is bad???? Also, did you know that 10% of muslims come from India? How does the government decide who to allow in?

An a separate note, I strongly feel that we need to protect our values as Canadians and the way the country was founded…… by immigrants. However, these immigrants need to assimilate into our culture not the other way around. Unfortunately, our government and society makes it easy to carry on their own ways and not ours. Also, keep in mind, an immigrant and a refugee is completely different. Immigrants are looking for a better life, a refugee had his life taken away.

Harper stands up for this very idea and gets blasted for it. Trudeau and Mulcair won't stand up for anything if it means possibly losing a vote or two.

thats kind of funny. So Harper is trying to change this but the previous Conservative leader (Mulroney) changed the law for Sikhs to wear the turban in the RCMP. Boy isn't that helping them to assimilate into Canadian culture.

Wow!! You're seriously trying to compare Harper to Mulroney? Two totally different individuals as well as two different parties. The old Progressive Conservatives were more left leaning in philosophy than the Conservative party of today. Besides I don't recall Mulroney taking a stand on anything other than forcing the GST on us, so yeah of course he let the uniform be changed. He would fit right in with the NDP or Liberals today.

Pre Turban RCMP Uniform should be restored, and keep the turbans on the rack for when then get out of the bath. I agree with some things JT has said, but also wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. The world revolves around the Quebec and Ontario. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. His dad destroyed the west once wouldn't take much to do it again with the NDP in Alberta.

If I'm allowed to ask a question, what's so wrong with Harper?

Keep in mind JT mom was born and raised in BC and JT attended UBC and taught school in Vancouver so he does have strong west connections. As for whats wrong with Harper…. where do I start and where do I end but some of them are:

- robocols (cheating the voters)
- secrecy
- Senate scandal and backing away from his election promise on this.
- focusing his mandate primarily on oil and gas and neglecting many other industries. I export a lot of grains from the prairies. The rail situation has been dismal after oil took president to transport than grains. At one point it normally took 2-3 weeks to spot a car, it ballooned to 3 or more months.
- allowing TFW program to explode
- selling off our natural resources to foreign companies. Granted we need outside money but IMO it was not necessary to open the flood gates.
- hasn't balanced a budget and allowing our country to go into recession again while all other G8 countries are not.
- 50,000,000 bucks spent on a lavish party in his industry minister riding
- also google the 55 elections promises he did not keep.
- fear mongering

I know there are more but this jumps out at me. Here is more on the issue Why Not Harper?

- robocols (cheating the voters) Other parties are pissed they did not think of it first they would do it as well
- secrecy - Hello it's government)
- Senate scandal and backing away from his election promise on this. Minor

The rail situation has been dismal after oil took president to transport than grains. At one point it normally took 2-3 weeks to spot a car, it ballooned to 3 or more months. I'm not sure Harper can be blamed for commodity & transportation conditions

- allowing TFW program to explode Bad I agree but don't see NDP or Liberal doing any different
- selling off our natural resources to foreign companies. Granted we need outside money but IMO it was not necessary to open the flood gates. Most players in the energy sector are publicly traded so I personally do not understand the difference between domestic or foreign
- hasn't balanced a budget and allowing our country to go into recession again while all other G8 countries are not. Reputable publications place Canada's economic performance as among the worlds best, forbs, Bloomberg, Report on Business etc.
- 50,000,000 bucks spent on a lavish party in his industry minister riding Fifty Million??????? really???? I had not heard this.....
-also google the 55 elections promises he did not keep. Do you actually believe either of the other 2 will keep any promises
- fear mongering

I look at it this way, here is the door and let someone else give it a crack as you have failed so far. No guarantees the options are going to be better but worth a try. But hey this is my opinion and that is the beauty of a Democratic and free speech country. On a final note, one of the reason the Libs lost power to the Cons is because they became complacent to the people and they needed to get out. Now its Harper's turn.
