I also did that depending on your age it took me 3 years to recover I wore football braces but now I'm going to get the good ones but u have to get a prescription from your doctor and alberta health will cover some of the cost but make sure u tell the doc u need them for work not for sledding and hopefully u have a health care plan at work also. The cheaper pair I use to wear picked up at health store their about 100 apiece and that saved my knees a few times when I went over the hood

I thought I would give you guys the heads up because I'm only getting one knee brace because that's all I need but when you go for one you can get it covered by aids for daily living from the government. I found this out because I have a friend that works for a insurance company and sometimes the th people that build knee braces don't tell u this s o I hope this helps u guys.

The first thing u need to do is go to your doctor and get a prescription for the knees this you must have at that time my doctor had xrays on my knees. I then found a place that made the knee braces, they had me come in to do a evaluation on my knees and said all I needed was the one knee brace. If u need the brace they will send the forms into aids to daily living and I believe they cover 75% of the brace I get my brace on Monday and where going to revy on Friday . At the knee brace place they will ask u for the preciption and the xray infomation when u go their the bonus I have is my wife has insurance through my wifes work so I shouldn't have to pay anything Make sure u tell them u need the brace for work and normal living no snowmobllng or they will not cover it

Hi I have a CTI custom brace that I got after ACL reconstruction and I haven't had much luck with it. They have fit it multiple times and actually remade it a couple times for various reasons. I find that its slides down and then limits my movement and isn't comfy. Just wondering if anyone else with this brace had similar problems and how they fixed it. The place I got it made doesn't really have any more suggestions for me. Thanks in advance
