i've been riding my 600 SDI for the last 4 years and i loved it, i was the same weight as you and age, and it worked great and went all over the place, basicly pretty much what SWAT said. but funny how time and marriage will add about 50 lbs in a couple of years so now i upgraded myself to a 800. i think you'll love the 600, buy it and then you can give it to you're wife/girlfriend when you find a good deal on a bigger one, lol :)

good sled, but I guarantee you will regret only going to a 600... You probably won't regret buying a 800 and wishing you had a 600. Just a thought

Go with an 800 or maybe a 700.

Polaris RMK 600

Info:
Price: 6500
Year: 2008
Other: low kms, 144 inch track rumble pac can, SLP big air kit, fuel can rack, great shape

About Me:
Age 20, 180lbs, 5'10, Been riding since I was 7. Last 3.5 years been riding a 1997 700 RMK. I went to the mountains 3 times last year, I have all the gear(Pieps Beacon, Probe, Shovel, 15L ABS Pack, 2 Canisters, First Aid Kit, Need more Avy Education). It's been a good sled but my younger brother will take it over, and I would like to get a newer sled.

Questions:
Will I experience a power loss going to a 600?
It is 100cc less but this sled is also 11 years newer so it should go faster?
Since 800's are technically 600's bore'd out, this sled should be very reliable?

#1: Sled Im interested in..

#2: Current Sled at Mcbride

Did you see on kijiji, edmonton, a guy in Manning has a 2009 RMK 700 with very low miles but no price. Says he must sell immediately. Also look on cbbtrader.ca & you can look up the retail value of the 08 you are looking at. Either way you go, the 08 600 has more power & is about 50 lbs lighter than your old one so you would have lots of fun on it.Like 1 member said if you rode it for 1/ 2 years then upgraded again, y=it is a excellent starter sled for some one new (especially a lady) Good Luck!
