Ya the old owners supported the snowmobile club treated sledders great. Always stayed there when it was the Rim. You could park your unit after a day of riding hit the hot tub wonder down to the Canyons Edge for a feast and a few pints and not have to worry about driving anywhere.
That burger could feed a small family! Had lots of good times there.
Ya it was good too, not just a sloppy big burger

And real steak fires too

I stayed at the days inn at golden 2 years ago website said lounge was open booked two rooms lounge was closed for off season in the winter, so I wasn’t impressed, room stunk like body odour, than all the hiways were shut down due to snow no one was coming or going, we had to be out by 1 we asked if we could hang in our room while they opened the hiways he said we could for 75$ each so we thought shove it, will never stay there again, however the food at the dugout bar and grill, wolf and bear den and the smokehouse was unbeatable amazing places to eat there, differnt hotel next time

FYI- most hotels and businesses on the hwy 1 strip in golden are owned by 1 family of E. Indians. Some establishments are better then others but ur money is going to all the same wallet.
