I am bullish on precious and semi pre precious metals. If you look at the historic price ratio of gold to silver, silver is trading at a serve discount. This coupled with the fact that you typically pay a 20 to 25% premium to physically hold silver indicates tight supply. I would wager one will see a healthy appreciation in held silver. Plus, it is cool to be able to actually hold your investment!

Can't really hold the S&P 500 in your hand the same way you can with gold and silver coins...

I started buying those both a long time ago. (Gold and silver not the S&P)

I did not realize Costco sells these. Price seems decent.

I opened a self directed tfsa with BMO. I bought shares in First Majestic silver back in March and traded in and out a bit when I should have just bought and held from the beginning. I've done ok with it though. Not sure what will happen going forward.

FYI- your trading stock not investing in precious metals. Once Klaus and the boys get ahold of your digital assets your f’d.

These guys on this forum are talking physical precious metals….the ones they need to come to your door and take away from you. Not simply shut your computer off and tell u to go f yourself. The kind u point a gun at when skmeone is coming to try and take it from u.

10 oz RCM silver bar at Costco is $389
10 oz RCM silver bar at TD is $433
I do all my banking with TD so that is the lowest price. Also Costco adjusts prices weekly and TD adjusts every 15 minutes.

I prefer useful physical assets...guns, ammo, generator, gasoline, canned goods, backhoe, shovels etc etc.

When things go south precious metals ain't gonna do you much good. Something to think about.

I would argue that in that scenario precious metals would do you a lot of good.
Paper currency from a collapsed government ain’t gonna buy much. What if the internet gets turned off? At some point you will need something to use as currency.

In Venezuela the citizens have and are still using grams of gold for currency, as the Bolivar has been devalued so much. They are also using the US dollar and currencies from neighboring countries.
