For the most part for the last several seasons you don’t see nuggets. Every one of those guys run nugget traps too. Makes a guy wonder.

Thats the other thing, the gold count ya see on TV ain't true...
its a great show but like any it is "reality" TV

boys said aid nothing worse your in a hoe engine bay, standing on your head, flashlight in your mouth, 3 wrenches in two hands and camera guys asking you what your doing or if you can turn your light off cause it's causing glare on their lens...

Good buddy of mine was parkers mechanic a couple seasons ago, not very well liked and they kinda made him out to be a prick but there's a whole story we wont get into,
regardless there's a lot of stuff that happens behind the scenes, parker is getting close to 10k an episode from discovery (I am sure Tony and Rick are right there as well), great west equipment leases them equipment at a very reduced rate, and all the fuel they burn is "heating grade" that they get a pretty healthy break on as well, gold has to be over $1100/ an ounce USD to make it profitable.

Knew there had to be something with the equipment, so much stupid chit done to equipment, half of it has to be for good ratings. I feel sorry for the suckers who buy that equipment after.....

and the amount of laborer's(rock truck drivers, loader operators) that show up for the job and quit after they realize they wont be on the show is high.

Parker's family appears to have money, I don't think Tony owns him.

Roger Schnabel just sold his road building company for a handsome sum. He's LOADED.

https://www.chilkatvalleynews.com/s...bel-to-sell-southeast-roadbuilders/11458.html

Says here he's worth 6 million but still lists him as owner of the company & the sale price of that seems to be a well guarded secret. He has some huge gov contracts, that company had to be worth a small fortune.

Yeah big money moving around up there. Kinda crazy how much Parker’s operating cost has been for the start off the season.

I can't believe Parker crumpled up the agreement and didn't even come back with a different offer for Tony. I'm thinking he might end up wishing he did

I would of done the same. If I had to take all the risk just to do a favor for someone who has a history of screwing people over. No thanks.

As tony would say. Thats the way the cookie crumbles.

I PVR all the episodes.

I PVR almost all of my favourite shows, I can buzz right through the endless commercials, and man does Discovery have a LOT of commercials.

Except live sports all my watching comes from the PVR. Even if something pops up I wanna watch when I'm scrolling, I'll record it and go back and watch it later and fly past all the endless repetitive commercials.

Its the only way to watch the boob tube these days.

I would love to know the pay set up on the employees. Do they run payroll once a month or what. Or do they each get a percentage of gold at the end of the season. Tough call. A guy could work all season on ****ty ground and make nothing.
