Hey Frank, how's that cold air intake working for you? Thinking about doing it also.
Good news RkT has a miracle coming soon?
I went to Revelstoke for Yamafest and got my valves done at Sledshed. I am absolutely getting the air intake for next year. Those guys know their stuff! I have an 872 with 174x3 and that engine spins that track really well. I picked up about 8-12 mph track speed over stock 800 with the same track and setup. I just need an extended chaincase to get the snow out better.hey had a chance too ride my sled in march with handlebar deep snow and that intake is loud!! you can hear it sucking air like crazy no more bog thats for sure no matter what side I am sidehilling on. I have tried all the intakes out there and this is the first time I am truly happy and know my sled isnt going to bog and stop me from making that climb in deep ridiculous powder. Highly recommended for the $350 they charged me.

I was dissapointed when I put the bigbore in, I just couldn't get power. It seemed like it was missing any top end power. I took it to sled shed because I thought it was clutching. They set the clutching up for me and it still wouldn't rev past 7000 rpm. Al told me it was absolutely the valves not working properly so he did his mod and my sled ran great. I don't know if the vacuum lines were hooked up wrong or what, but I finally felt the power after his mod was done. And honestly I couldn't tell you what my turnout speed is because I climbed everything that I wanted to climb! The worst track speed I saw was 44 mph and my rpm's dropped to about 7700, that's with the 7 tooth drivers not corrected. The 44 mph was after I crested sugar bowl and it seemed that I just couldn't clear away the snow from my track. The snow was extremely heavy and wet, and it felt like it just wasn't being cleared out. I also climbed two airport chutes, the snow was set up good, but had about 5 big trenches in it from the day before. I couldn't tell you what my track speed was because I was going up so fast and it was too rough to check my speedometer out. I also tried monster chute and was really cooking but hit ice about 2/3's to 3/4's of the way up and had to turn out. Anything in super bowl was from 48 to 53 mph not corrected on my speedo. And I know I can get a little more out of it too. Sorry for the long reply!
We did all of our sledding on Sunday which was nice and sunny. I think any 180-ish horsepower sled with a good skid and 174 track is more than enough for most guys. I'll be riding this sled for a few years till I outgrow it. That 880 will be a ripper for sure. Can't wait till next year.
