A big azz culvert jumped out in front of me last night taking out my right side trailing arm, a-arms, shock and possibly the stearing arm.
Going to take the machine to Sledderdocs shop this afternoon to take apart and assess.

Anyone know where the best place to find these parts is, used is good trying not to break the bank here. If anyone knows anyone who has some or all of these parts for sale please let me know..

Marine Madness can get me a new aftermarket trailing arm for $150-ish

E-bay parts are cheap my only issue is making sure they fit and time of delivery, I need the sled re-assembled by friday, so local is definitly better.

I hope you are okay, I think Specialty would stock it, however, it would not be cheap, I'm guesing $170???

Ironic how it says on the a arm: Direct Shock Action... I think you would have felt direct shock action to your arms and your body on that culvert hit...

I have had them bent straight and a patch welded on the back and it lasted 20 km. You can't weld too strong of a patch because they are a sacrificial part. The last price I got from a BRP dealer was over $250. I went to Canadian Tire and ordered a kimpex replacement for $85 a few years ago. I do not know if they carry the silver painted ones but it is worth checking into. Also try Royal Distributing for an aftermarket.

upon closer investigation I'm thinking it's a lot worse than I expected......

there is damage to the metal pieces under the recoil and underneith the foot-rest the stearing arm is rubbing on the (bulkhead???)... not sure what all the parts are but I have heard that once these parts are bent the allighnment may never be the same and may cause long term issues....

I have collision on the machine with a $250 deductable, so in the end I might be better off just opening a claim...

Oh yah...and I am fine, did a nice two point summersault dissmount into a nice soft drift.....

Hate to say it bogger but after looking at those pictures you have some bigger issues than just the trailing and a arms bud. Your gonna wana check out the bulk head real close the lift in the right foot plate tells me that something is slid back...... For the $250.00 deductible it may be well worth taking the sled to the shop.

Nothing a sledge hammer couldn't straighten out.......... I seriously thought about the insurance route, but I need a sled for Cooke and insurance isn't fast... besides worst case it's worth more in parts than an insurance pay-out.

Took it to Docs shop today, Dale is right there is a large kink in the tunnel, hard spot to get at without popping all the rivets and removing the foot rest as well as the plastic belly pan....

Dissassembled the front end, inspected everything used a socket extension thru the holes in the foot rest to pound out the kink in the tunnel, then put the busted trailing arm over the welded stud to protect it and went to town on it with a sledge hammer... banged it back in place so the tunnel/bulkhead holes were lined back up and everything is sledgehammer square. I need to replace a couple rivets and will add a few extras just because... we managed to straighten the steering arm so all in all I need 4 new parts...trailing arm, shock upper & lower suspension arms...

Big thanks to Sledderdoc for the use of shop and tools and retodds lift.

I'll get the parts this week and re-assemble on friday, test out saturday and load for Cooke on sunday...

Just be sure you don't do any air time when you out in Cooke with doc. At least wait until your very last day on the way out. I suspect it's going to want to bend again no matter how sledge hammer straight it is.

Next time I hit something It'll be hard enough that a write off is not questioned......:d

that is almost what mine looks like, I just bought a tunnel, bulkhead, coolers, steering, radius rods, 1 trailing arm, tank, belly pan, foot/trailing arm mounts. For $260 its a 97 but for the price I am going to attempt a drop and roll over the summer on this chassis and transfer all my stuff over. It will be some work but for that price I couldn't pass it up. Keep your eyes open and I hope you can find a deal so yours is not junk. And dont go see that Gerry guy who has a 99 for parts... Its junk dont waste your time, both sides look like yours.

Good luck buddy!
