agreed and besides it's so cheap to put a bigger tierod or sleeve for that matter to take that problem rite out of the equation! $100 for sleeves I have them on my truck and can launch at 15-20 psi of boost all day with out my tierods bending or toeing in

I see they had to redesign the front bumper just to fit 35's under it.
Remember it's a concept truck, look at the new volt, looked like some futuristic version of the camaro when it was 1st shown, now it looks like a cobalt.

Nice copy on the Dodge box...

Funny, nothing new here, looks like what 90% of all GMs look like here in town. It is nice to see a manufacturer actually offering what people are doing on their own though...

Solid axle and they would have a winner here!

Ever seen a chevy avalanche? Dodge copied the crew box from them.

Not 'needing', but 'needed' already blew one, first one in my life...Second one likely wont make a year. Like I was saying in the other thread regarding IFS, your chev would last about 10 hrs doing what we do every day LOL

Its way different pulling the kind of weight up and down the kind of terrain that we travel here. Heck travel to and from work is normally 200+kms, then up to 200kms of gravel and trails during a normal day. So, no offense, but a couple 15-20 # launches dont mean chit to me, do 40 a day with a loaded trailer, then I will be impressed :)

Still want to see some video though... Nasty Girl lives here in Medicine Hat, and I will give you Chevs can make some power, and run fast, but sorry still not a work truck...

im wondering what kind of terrain is around medicine hat? our company has stopped buying dodges in most areas because they dont last in really rough terrain (zama, swan hills, red earth, etc...) drive shafts flying into the ditches... they just fall apart 75000-100000 kms plus all the back problems the guys are getting from dodges. chevys do much better, and we only buy fords for city work...

haha I should have mentioned to you that i worked oil patch for three years up in ft.st john and up the forestry trunk road from coleman to kanaskis country all the way over to sask area with a dmax with 8 inch lift towing trailers so yes they can handle what you guys do everyday cause well i did it everyday. That does suck about your tranny man if you wanna do a good rebuild kit let me know I know a few good comapnies that are amazingly priced under $2500 for a 1200 hp rebuild kit w/torgue converter. Ya the chevs can make some real good power i admit that dodge is the best truck for a work truck cummins is solid and will come out with something real nasty I got a feeling. I like my chev for the all around thing very comfy good looks makes awesome power if I didnt have a chev definately would be a cummins in my driveway before a new ford thats forsure. Is the truck you are speaking of a black chev lowered down I do believe crew cab and 05 style if so that is a sweet truck! I found with the chevs if you put on a new set of tierods or the sleeves and do the pitman idler arm brackets it makes those IFS front ends darn near bulletproof I went a bit over board on mine and put the ppe centerlink as well wich is what the big sled pullers run in there chevs so now that front end can handle pretty much everything.

Well, lets agree to disagree on the Chev vs Dodge thing, cause honestly if your Chev is doing the job for you and my Dodge is doing the job for me, what else really matters, I think its more of a personal belief and personal taste thing myself. I actually have a Ford picker truck F550 and its ok, but Im not a huge fan. But bought a Ford Expedition Limited for the wife this year, and I will give Ford props for that truck, it is beautiful...we looked at suburbans beause thats what I wanted, but the Ford was a ton cheaper and Im happy with the decision. And to be clear, I dont hate Chevs, just had a ton of bad luck with them.

Regarding the tranny, I hunted all over and nobody is building kits yet for the 48RE. Couple places could rebuild the tranny but not in any sort of decent time, and get this, best warranty I could get on a perf tranny was 25k. I let the dealer rebuild it, and 1yr and unlimited mileage, so thats what I did.

Nasty Girl is a brown? sandy color crew cab, trust me if you had seen it you would remember it. Wild to say the least!! Dyno'd at OVER 1000HP :) Twins running 70# boost...

We work primarily on the Suffield Block (Military Base) and there is some wild terrain out there. Lots of hills and big coulees, and of course no great roads...
