the old ones form pa used to be great but if they lasted they couldnt sell more of them so the quality went for sheet ....you pay for what you get

their cheap enough you can get a few :d

The plunger style in the pictures is not the 8 Litre unit I don't think. It looks like a 1L unit and they work for a little while and then eventually the plunger flap wears out. They work well enough for coolant but DO NOT try to use the PA one for removing oil or gas, it will stop working guaranteed, whatever sealing rubber they use in the plunger does not like hydrocarbons. Been there done that and then threw it in the trash...

The ones that I bought are not the same as pictured above. Mine suck up oil, coolant, gas(Which is really a , plastic, static electricity, gas not really the best idea) No problems yet, lots of guys at work carry them in the service trucks, and haven't had any issues with them

Princess Auto ROCKS!!!!! but i bought my stand up from Martin Farm for like $60 bucks. I use it to suck the oil out of my tow boat but also use it for the same purpose pictured here.

I'm with Modman on this one I hate PA I can't be bothered to take back the junk they sell, it just ends up in the garbage.

Shop Vac works good and after you fill it with nasty goop you just "lend it" to a friend than he's stuck storing it! Thanks Justin!

i prefer to just yank the lowest coolant hose i can find and let it flow out, making suree to splash a bit on the pipe.
bonuses of this method include, but are not limited to:

-quick, easy access

-nice sweet smelling white smoke once fluid is replaced and vehicle runs again

- if you don't catch the coolant as it drains from the bulkhead all the pesky neighbor hood cats will mysteriously disappear
