Vehicle crashes over Circle Drive bridge into South Saskatchewan River

If you look at the pic it is a perfect ramp, The snow there completely makes the guard rail useless.

Anyone that hasn't gone east on that bridge its a curve and a down hill approaching the bridge and the bridge is also curved, i see people smashed into the guard rail there even in summer.

So lucky she got out and got on ice. Man, what if there were others in the car or a baby in the back seat?

Im sure you could sue the crap out of the city for that.....I know i would.

Crazy thing is i seen a car almost go over the other night, probably a week ago and thought to my self they need to plow that edge, now this happens....

Of the 2 pics on the link neither really show how bad the corner is (not that I am doubting it is). The young lady certainly is lucky and had the presence of mind to get out of the car and on to the ice. Thanks Santa!

I seen the tracks on the way home. I have no idea WTF she did but she was almost across the bridge, not the corner side. Its like she swerved to avoid an accident and went up the side and over.

Damn city only put up a lit up slow sign, hopefully plowing that edge off tonight.

The issue with the snow is that it is contaminated and cannot be pushed into the river.{it can melt slowly by mother nature} Therefore it must be scooped up and disposed of at a proper snow melting location.

green, that's what they do with all the plowed snow. No one was suggesting tossing it into the river, were they?

It's kind of interesting that on John Gormley this morning a caller phoned in to say that the city of Prince Albert dumps the snow off their bridge into the river no problem. So who made up the rule to say they can't here in Saskatoon some commie tree hugger in city hall administration?

I would think the caller is misinformed. Environmental officers would have a field day with the city if this snow is contaminated.

They Plowed it over overnight and took the slope off it now they a week later plowed again and theres no snow on edge.

I dont see the issue with plowing in river, doesn't the storm drains run right into the river and not threw the sewage plant.
