I did really enjoy the Griz back when it was open regularly, and don't get me wrong it's nice it's coming back. I do know that there has been a couple different restaurants open up in McBride and have great food. I do hope they can all survive.

In my opinion they are going to have to really perform to win clients back.
McBride has lost many previous fans due to lack of good snow and accommodation/meal issues.

Well. From reading the business plan they have in the article, it will be a tough go in my opinion.

I felt the previous place was too much a sit down restaurant, I feel it would do better as a pub environment with a good menu and later hours.

5-9 dinner schedule?

I may still be on the hill at 9:00 in the spring.

Agreed, a sports bar or pub style would likely be better received, even if the entre menu was limited to 5-9 with pub food available after. They would make most of their $$$ from 10pm-1am

Sounds like they need a Summit River Lodge 2.0

That said some of the B&B options in town are good - both full service and home rental.

I think as they see what the clientele is like they will adapt, they'll have to or they probably won't make a go of it.

Im wondering why the restaurant couldnt make a go of it the last time???? That was the place to go for sure, lack of staff maybe???
Not being able to get breakfast there after the north county restaurant (sundowner?) burnt really did suck.
