Well, holy mother. Never works that way for me when it is spun down. He makes that look easy.

He showed me a technique last December were you built a shelf for someone that is trapped above a cliff you drive below them reverse the 174 drive ahead then lift the top sled onto the shelf you built so they can follow your track out.

What about my trick the takethebounce -cris from Teth-Air showed me

U get under the front, lay down back first and kick up on the control arms, then u hold up with one leg and kick snow under the track with other

Re set and get front up higher, doing same thing...

Now not only is the snow packed good in front but when u push the front down it fulcrums the rear track up, and bang your out

Sounds like one needs to be a yoga expert with lots of flexibility???

Carl's way seems to be easy. When I rode with him a few years ago, he was always looking at ways to use the power of the sled to make a lot of things/stucks easy!

Oh ya rolling it over if ur stuck and turned some, but seems like I'm stuck in trees and pointed up hill all the time for some reason

The first lift is harder, but after its easy

Takes less time and total effort than shoveling a pad ect I find

Works between trees but it's way easier and less energy to roll if you have the room.

Thank's Jeff, I call this the "Wedge" technique and when your sled is augured in deep so it is difficult to roll, this method does work well. When you have the sled in a good place that you can roll it, my son Colby taught me that it works great to spin the track while rolling it as it cuts the side of the trench away. These 2 methods are all we need, rarely get the shovel out any more or rarely try and lift the back of the sled if it's really planted.

No problem teacher lol

I forgot to add the spinning the track to roll over, to break the wedge free

Also works awsome as long as u have room to do it

Spinning the track to dig the side of the trench out also clears a bunch of snow (weight) out of your skid. Sometimes sliding the sled over while on it's side then standing up again is all you need. Full roll over SUCKS when your bars get hooked on a big tree branch 18" under the snow.

If I tried this method is would have two sleds stuck instead of one ! Lol how does he trench it out and then just drive forward again? Anyway I also love using my sled any time I can vs hand bombing sleds! The snow Bungee with a hook on both ends is worth it's weight in diamonds! That thing saves so much labour it's not even funny. Even a sled trenched facing up hill, I've come along side it facing down hill, hooked up the bungee, then I go, they stay on what will be the uphill side as it comes around and punch the throttle and it will come right around, and viola! No more stuck sled! I LOVE my sno bungee! ( and any method that saves time and/or energy)
