Gen 5 tool kit

I am picking up a G5 turbo doo on Friday and heading straight to the hills, anyone have a rough idea on what tools a guy needs to pack on these sleds? I have almost everything I would ever need on my sidewinder and like to be prepared if needed. Thanks.

spring puller
wire to get at the y pipe springs
8-17mm sockets
8-17mm wrenches
flat screw driver
plug wrench
plyers
vice grips



this is what comes in the skidoo "delux" tool kit

• Stainless steel open end / ring end wrenches; 8-10mm, 10-13mm, 12-14mm, 15-17mm, 16-19mm.
• 1/4 drive ratchet with 4" extension, hexagonal 8 - 10 - 13 -16,
• Torx 25 - 30 - 40,
• Allen 4 - 6 - 8 and Philips #2
• Long nose Vise-Grip
• Spring hook tool

The mountain lab kit is pretty good if you want something quick and don't want to piece it together yourself. Buddy has one and it seems decent enough. A little bulky though.
I'd add an extra T25 to whatever you get in case you drop one in the snow.

The factory skidoo tool kit part number SKU 860202029 is a valuable kit and very compact, and stainless steel so it wont rust. Every time I open them they have moisture present. It has most tools you will need on the hill.

my only issue with that kit is you can build a way better one for 230$,

but it is nice and compact

my ratchet is getting pretty clunky and I had to add a few things to the doo kit... the problem is you might want a box and open end of each size... they give you one or the other. and none have 2 of the same size... BUT the case fits nice in the 6L box and the stainless tools don't rust...

Anything else I should be grabbing for this sled? All updates and recalls are done, it has a tki driveshaft retainer in it. Anyone put a lightweight can on one? Some weight savings to be had there for sure. Might throw a shorter riser on it.

Yea I’m going to buy a snow flap after this years trails…

I put a bottle of water wetter in mine, not sure if it helped.

Buddy runs a silber cooker can and it don’t cook worth a ch!t but sounds ok

i get that accessories are a big part of sales but that should come standard. particularly with hotter running turbo sleds and warm winters.
