The guys that compare the sidewinders to the old apex and nytros don't have a clue and have probably never ridden one. They are so much better in almost every way.
I know. I owned a TViper and rode a Sidewinder. Even those two are different from one another.

100% they are. They were going the right direction with sidewinder just need to refine it and drop weight. its doable but I dont think they would sell enough just because most would rather take 100 less hp even if it means their sled is glued together but I get it

Does Yamaha still make sleds… seriously have not seen one on the hill for 6yrs now.

So who’s in the aftermarket is developing G5 turbo kits. Love to see the layout!

Does anyone else think there are to many sub-forums in the G5 section and therefore clicks to get to this thread?
A G5 trail section, really? What's wrong with lumping everything altogether by chassis like all the other sleds?

I find it strange Yamaha hasent made a more aggressive push in the snowmobile world. They did in the late 2000's and early 2010's with their 4 strokes than fell off when the industry favored 2 strokes. Out of all the sled manufacturers I would think they would have the most resources to put the best 2 stroke snowmobile together.

I would also think aftermarket turbos are going the way of the 4 stroke snowmobile. Who buys an aftermarket turbo when they come out turboed of the box nowadays.

aftermarket turbos are still a cost effective way to get into a turbo.... A base summit with a low boost kit is cheaper right now than snow checking a factory turbo. further to that a used sled and a low boost setup is even more appetizing.

I have yet to see an aftermarket turbo that runs as good as stock...

They narrowed them up a lot more than what it appeared online. Where your feet sit isnt much room at all. French dude said the snowchecks without the big gauge are getting delivered with the smaller one button gauge not the two button gauge that is on the prototypes.
