2008 xp 154, heats up really quick and sprays all the coolant out the overflow.
Already replaced the quick and easy stuff, rad cap, thermostat, coolant, most of the clamps.
When it heats up, only about 3/4 of the tunnel cooler gets hot, only on 1 side. Rh side. (See pic)
So I'm now leaning towards either water pump or plugged cooler. Not sure which one is going to suck more to change.

Oh, and I checked plugs and compression, still definitely good, not, leaking pressure from the o ring as far as I can tell. Also pressure tested cooling system, holds pressure perfectly, vacuum filled the system, to avoid air locks.

you might have a air lock try putting the sled on it's side or they also recommend lifting the front of the sled about 3 feet off the floor and run at idle to force bubble to water pump

what is the history before what you posted, did problem start after doing any work on sled,if yes i would think air pocket in cooling system like posted,if problem started out of the blue while riding i would guess water pump, plugged system, compression getting into cooling system.imo think back to when problem started

Pulled the water pump this eve, only sorta spins like a half turn every few pulls and feels like a bad bearing when you try to turn by hand. So I'm thinking water pump bearing went, and I'm sure has probably stripped that stupid plastic gear now... Motor out tomorrow. Yay.

Ya it's done, was totally stripped. Honestly changing its not hard. It's just a pain in the to pull the motor for 1 hr, then put it all back in. My impeller was seized on the shaft so tight that I broke the pump end of the shaft, but no big deal, the shaft is a throw away.
